This is a practice cake. I got the saying from my son’s favorite movie Napoleon Dynamite. It is a 9” yellow cake with chocolate and vanilla buttercream--filling also BC. Bottom shell border with stars, top border is stars with smaller stars. Combed sides.

Made this for my cousin's wedding, had 2 weeks notice. Flower arranging is not normally a strong point for me, but I thought these came out okay. MMBC with silk flowers. Butterflies were added at the reception hall, but I wanted to post this one because the background I use at home looks better with the cake.

This is my first tier cake, chocolate, white, and yellow cake with bc frosting, and then covered with mmf. I tried to create a cake of what moms are, however found that there was not enough space to put all that moms are or do. It was alot of fun to make though. My daughter took this cake to school for the teachers. I was mostly inspired at the idea of the prize being a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, as I have a friend in Chemo as speak. Thanks and God Bless!!!

My daughter Erin loves bugs. I made the wings of the butterfly out of the large heart pan and the body of the butterfly was made out of the mini wonder mold pan. The bumble bees and lady bugs were made out of the mini egg pan.

I made this for my grandmother for mother day. I wish I would have used yellow in the icing color to casually ice my cake :( I also didn't have any room for a border on the bottom. Next time I'll cut the board bigger.

I made this 12" heart cake & donated it to a local Church for a raffle. It earned $125.00. The silhouette and letters were made from a purchased candy mold and flavored with Creme DeMenthe (non-alcoholic). Edible glitter was placed under the Cameo. The batter was white marble, torted with chocolate filling (non-dairy), iced with chocolate buttercream, and decorated with caramel flavored french buttercream. The 30 miniature 1/2" roses were made of caramel flavored french buttercream.

Design for a potenital customer. It was also part experiment-I wasn't sure if you could add coco powder to RI but it worked and tasted good too. Then I added some black coloring to it as well.

This cake was copied out of a Wilton Yearbook. They no longer sell the original candles but I found some similar ones at a party store. The accents are made from half gumpaste half mmf. The hat and bear are hand molded mmf/gumpaste. Royal icing drop flowers add a border. I had issues with the chairs and table standing up straight. I also think I would have done a quilted table cloth if I could.

This is a lemon cake with lemon buttercream filling & vanilla buttercream on the outside in the shape of hearts: 6", 10", 14." On the outside I piped random hearts & dots & scroll work & then after it had all dried I dusted it with pink pearl dust, just a slight sheen of pink. I got the date mixed up & delivered it yesterday & there was no wedding! Talk about a panic attack. The wedding was today! So I toted it back home & it sat on my table last night. Sigh. I had a senior moment and I'm only 32!

This is a traditional basic white wedding cake with BC icing. Its was suppose to look like pearls on the layers, but didn't come out like I planned. This cake was booked two days in advance, cuz the cater didn't do cakes and they forgot to ask him. This was done for a friend of my hubby's. Not to bad for having to put something together last minute though. There are little roses along the border and a small rose bouquet in the centers.

This was a chocolate heart shape cake for a little girl. Her middle name is Rose so she wanted a rainbow of rose’s cake. She picked her own colors out. She turned 5 yrs old so I did 5 roses on the cake. She wanted a red rose on it too but I did not think red would look good on it so I added 2 long stem roses on the side for her. She was very please with all of all the way down to her name on it.
