Done to tell the story of the bride and groom to be! It was her gift to him. He is a military man who loves football (the Giants) and she threw in a few girly things for herself as well! All decorations are done in mmf except for the camoflauge which is done in buttercream. The photo is an edible image and the ice in the cooler is done with sugar. Thanks for looking!

This was an idea I saw in a magazine, and had to do it for my dad on Father's day.
The "pink" frosting was suppose to be red, but I didn't have the paste food coloring at the time and had to use liquid. But overall, my daddy loved it. =)

This cake was supposed to be for our beginning of the school year cookout, only it was cancelled. I was to far into it to stop. The grill is Bailey's Irish Creme cake with coffee buttercream. The grate is fondant and painted with silver luster. I sprayed marshmallows with black and silver luster to give it the charcoal effect. The steak is all fondant, airbrushed. The corn on the cob is lemon strawberry creme cake with cream cheese icing covered in Jelly Belly jelly beans. I used several flavors to give it that "grilled" look. My proportions are a little off. I didn't take how much I would loose when I carved the grill into consideration. Live and learn....

This cake was done in celebration of a Navy family returning to town. They were lured to a cook-out which was really a surprise homecoming party. The cooked hamburgers are chocolate rice krispie treat with cocoa powder and black powder dust. The raw hamburgers are regular rice krispies mixed with Americolor red, dried and then combined to make rice krispie treats. The hot dogs are treats wrapped in fondant. The charcoal is a combination of red, yellow, cocoa and black powders dusted and smeared onto marshmallow halves with my fingers. The grate is grey royal icing. The cake is 3 layers, each 9" X 13" - strawberry, vanilla and chocolate with white chocolate ganache and covered in black fondant.

Saw these in a magazine at the grocery check out awhile back (it may have been Family Fun) and always wanted to try them. Something fun for the kids at a BBQ/pool party! On top of the chocolate BC, grill marks were done with white BC and items on the grill are all candy.

The hot dog and bun were made from a pound cake recipe, covered in buttercream. The french fries were made from refrigerated sugar cookie dough, an idea I got from a magazine, rolled out and cut into rectangles before baking.
