First attempt at reverse shell. I like it! Once you get the pattern going. The sides of the cake and smaller reverse shell around the middle and letters are dark green. Interesting excercise figuring out how to do the top one color and the sides another.

This was my first "paid cake!" I was so pleased with how it turned out. It's white cake with strawberry cream filling & crusting cream cheese icing. It was for my good friend's little girl's 3 year old princess party - she loved it! I also handmade the topper ("K" for Kelsey, the birthday girl). Thanks for looking!

This was a cake I thought was not going to get made. I was rescued by CC's own Traci Wood who was kind enough to send me the edible image. Turned out great and the customer loved it!

This cake was made with the CK Pantastic pan. Never used the plastic pans before but it worked great. The "scales" are buttercream and the fins, tail and lips are candy melts molded in the pan. It was for my brother's b-day and he's hoping it will bring him good luck next time he goes fishing!

This cake was one of the most stressful endeavors I have undertaken in a long time! A close friend asked me to make her daughter's first birthday cake. A 12" chocolate cake with white chocolate icing. I've never made a 12" cake nor made white chocolate icing. Anything that could go wrong, did go wrong! But in the end my friend loved the cake and her guests raved about it. I have to send a quick thanks to blittle6 for her white chocolate crusting BC recipe!

My brother is in Pharmacy school, so I decided to decorate his brithday cake with things related to his life currently.

The perscription bottle is for him being in pharmacy school and the pink elephant for his fun drinking parties with his pharmacy school friends (related it to Dumbo, but have since heard many other references for pink elephants). And I made the cake topsy turvy for the whole on pills and drunk effect.

Cake was chocolate with cookies & cream filling and all decorated in fondant.

My daughter had her 3rd birthday as a Strawberry Shortcake theme. She helped me design this cake. It was my first time working with fondant. I made the fondant myself, and will never do that again! I used premade fondant with another cake and it was much much easier.

This cake looked better in my head. LOL It's a 12", white & chocolate marbled cake w/buttercream filling & frosting. FBCT pitcher, 1/2 of a sports ball pan for the baseball. This sides are supposed to look like a baseball diamond pattern w/little baseballs for the border. Thanks for looking!

This was a customer who wanted a big cake for a big party. It is a FULL sheet cake that is 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate cake. It is also torted and filled with chocolate mousse. It is iced in all BC except for the shamrocks which are candy I bought at the cake supply store and the roses are MMF. This is the largest sheet cake that I have ever done, but it was really quite easy and it was fun. My customer loved the cake. She got teary eyed when she saw it!

This is my first ever fondant, tiered, decorated cake. I made it with mmf and did the snowflakes and tree details with royal icing. I got the idea out of the wilton book. I think it turned out pretty well, since it is the first cake I have ever done that wasn't your basic 13 by 9 pan or molded pan with buttercream on it.

I was inspired to make this cake dummy for a show this weekend after admiring the colours on my Herbacin hand cream tube!

The vines are royal icing and the leaves are fondant cut-outs using 3 sizes of cutters.

I made this cake as a christmas present for a friend. It is a chocolate cake filled and covered in chocolate mousse. There are blown sugar ornaments which are hand painted and some royal icing ornaments that I piped. The ribbons are gumpaste and then painted with a luster dust paint. The swags are fondant, embossed, and then i painted the color on the embossed flowers.

I was asked by my 6 year old cousin to make this for his class. To reinforce their alphabet and spelling they had snacks each day that represented one letter of the alphabet. While "umbrella" would have done just fine for U...he really wanted the joke of the "underwear". This was a white cake with lemon vanilla BC icing.

This cake was created for a lady that has been diagnosed with cancer and the doctor instructed her to drink lots of Gatorade. So the school where she works is having a Gatorade party. I was thinking along the lines of the orange thermos container but the ladies wanted a gator. Many thanks to beachcakes for her directions. This is from 2 9" X 13" cakes and 1 8" cake. Buttercream frosting and slivered almonds for toenails.
