My first attempt at a football. It was just OK. I used the wilton football pan, but I really was not satisfied with the shape. I think I could have just carved it out myself with oval pans. My newphew loved it anyway (and that's what counts). The cake was covered with chocolate buttercream, the accents were MMF, and the grass was done with royal icing.

This is a huge cake made up of about 8 extended recipies. The football is full size using the football cake twice and joined with BC. The entire field is about 1/12 X 3 feet and is covered with pulled grass. It was so big and heavy that delivery was difficult!

I had to make a cake for a local high school's annual football dinner. It was supposed to be for 300 people. (Turned out to be much less!) I made 4 half sheet cakes and put them together with the Wilton football cake in the middle. It was frosted with buttercream (the special tip that makes grass and hair, forget the #) and the team's mascot was royal icing floodwork. The numbers were also floodwork. It was vanilla cake with coffee buttercream.

Half sheet marble cake with buttercream icing. I did this last minute, very rushed, and my bct fell apart!! Of course, I did that last so I had no icing left to touch it up. You live and you learn I guess!

This design is from "Cakerator" here on CC. I'm so NOT creative, so I used all of her ideas to make this one. 2 layer 9x13 marble cake with chocolate buttercream filling and all buttercream frosting. The grass mat & daisy are royal. Photo is an edible image. This cake was FUN FUN FUN to do! The only thing that I didn't like was the royal icing...it was murder piping all of the "grass" on the mat. I think that my hand almost fell off....it was WAY worse than stars! THANK YOU CAKERATOR FOR THE DESIGN!

This was my first attempt at a more creative cake. Our son was turning 3 and in love with trains. It is a gluten-free cake with buttercream icing (which I made too thin). The trees, rocks and grass are royal icing. Lake is piping gel. Toy trains on top.

This is a crrot cake. It started out to have cream cheese icing but it was to runny and I got stressed and took it all off and put buttrecream. I than ran out of the icing that I was going to fall a pretty bed of flowers so I had to improvise again. Finally I have a pumpkin patch. There are still areas I need to touch up before I take it to work. One of those days!

I made this cake for a Thanksgiving order. She wanted something different that they could use as a centerpiece. The cake was a pumpkin spice with maple cinnamon buttercream.

This cake was drawn out on paper by the co-worker who wanted me to make it, I decorated exactly as she designed it. It's frosted with buttercream. I used a grass tip for the grass, brown sugar for sand and piping gel for the water. The flag has the number 41 on it because it was for a 41st birthday. There are golf clubs and golf balls on the side of the cake done in buttercream.

I used the mini egg pan for the eggs. Each blade of grass was done individually. My hand was killing me when I was done. I have since bought the grass tip so I'll have to use that next time. I added Cadbury mini eggs to the grass as well.

I made this for my brother's football team. He's the coach and they had a picnic after their first game! It is completly star tipped to look a little like grass without using the grass tip. The "D" in the middle is their team logo.

This was a thankyou cake for their soccer coach. The design on the soccer ball should have been a little bigger, but I thought it turned out nice. I was super happy with the whistle and I just added the flower because two items looked kind of "naked" and we're in hawaii so a plumeria is always appropriate :)

I was asked to make this cake for a 12 year old boy. He loves to play golf. His initial are S.T. so my wonderful husband designed and drew on this symbol of his initials. Thanks to my friend Susan (susancakebabies) for letting my borrow the grass frosting tip. Could not have done it without her help! Please give me any suggestions for what to charge for this cake. Thanks for looking!

I got the idea for this cake from hope22023. You may want to look at her cake, though as the grass is much better. This was a fun cake to make, and although it was my first, I got raving reviews. I couldn't go wrong; all the kids kept asking for dirt and the adults for the grass. I found the rocks at my grocery store in the bulk candy section.

This was my attempt at a superbowl cake. We were had to two parties to go to so I made two of the cakes and 48 cupcakes. Since I had so many to do I decided to keep my design simple.

The large football is rice krispy treat covered in fondant. The cupcakes have buttercream grass with fondant footballs.

Yellow Chocolate Chip Cake, 12" bottom with 10" middle and an oval on top, sculpted slightly to appear more flowing and not so round. BC icing with the blue not mixed totally to look more marbled like water. The sea grass is fondant and the pink coral RI. The two large white coral's on top with Nemo are White Chocolate (thx ShirleyW) along with chocolate shells, and the rest is all gumpaste. I modeled Mr. Ray (the stingray) the rest are Disney Figures. Nemo's Anemone is a fruit rollup! Enjoy!!
