I made this for my own birthday because I didn't want flowers and frills. It could have been better but I love the little columns I made on the sides. And those big green things are bunches of grapes.

The couple spends all their holidays in Italy, so this was the main theme for their wedding. Figures made from polymer - cake covered with fondant - grapes from fondant, too -leaves made from gumpaste. Pictures printed on edible paper and the frame was piped with icing and painted with gold luster dust.

3 tier wedding cake, chocolate fudge sponge inside with ivory fondant icing cover. Royal icing runout panels and shields. All trailing vines and grapes are individually hand-piped onto the cake to complete this rather gothic and unusual design. Ceramic dragon wedding couple adorn the top.

I love this cake!! The weight of the fruit made the layers bulge more. I cannot get rid of the bulge no matter how little filling I put in there!! What's up with that!! This was my friend's wedding so I got to enjoy some of it and it was soooooooooo good!!

My first tiered cake, made for my Advanced Cake Decorating final! The top tier is fondant; the bottom two are buttercream. I used a fondant mold and luster dust to make the large grape bunches, then drew the leaves, vines and smaller bunches around the cake.

My first "scored" cake. I have been waiting for a reason to do grapes after the great cakes I've seen on CC; a friend of mine came through for a reason. She wanted this to match her dish pattern for a party she was having.

This cake reduced me to a sweaty, shaky mess! Horrible humidity set in the day of delivery and when I took it out of the fridge in the garage things started falling off!! What a mess. I got everything fixed and delivered the cake, hopefully escaping before they noticed the shaking hands and sweaty palms. Whew....

Our cheese girl is transferring to another store, so I got the idea to make her some cheese with mice! I glanced at quite a few cheese wedge cakes and fell in love with Lolat's cute mice so I modeled mine in their likeness! :P Just a marble cake covered in choc BC and then MMF. Everything is edible except the board (it's a real cheese cutting board for effect lol) and the 2 toothpicks keeping the side mice attached. Grapes are made from MMF. I so love with this cake and I know she's gonna flip! :)

This is an 11x15 sheet cake made for a housewarming shower. Made to match the plates and napkins used. And they asked for that specific verse to be put on the cake.

A cake I made for a chocolate and champagne celebration, the theme this year was vineyards. 10" round iced in chocolate icing, 50/50 paste wooden slats, wood grain done with an impression mat. Painted with paste colors thinned with Everclear. Gumpaste grapes on top, Latex grapes and silk leaves at base. I made the handle of the press with a paper towel roll covered in fondant, a doweling push through the sides and also covered with fondant.

Stacked white cake (6", 8" and 10") with almond BC filling and almond MMF. This was made for my in-laws' Italian-themed 50th wedding anniversary, but I thought the style of the cake was more appropriate for the round wedding cake gallery. I made this as an amateur baker with about 1 1/2 months of cake decorating experience.

This was done for a friend's daughter's 26th Birthday. She loves red wine so we only thought this fitting. Grape vine was done around the outside. She loved it and said it was too pretty to cut into. Had lots of fun with this one.

Lemon pound cake - "bottle" was baked in a yule log cake pan, then carved to the right shape. Bottle is covered in MMF, everything else is BC. I thought my customer might not want his full name on the internet, that's why there's a big "blob" covering his last name!

This is my first and largest cake done to date. It is a half sheet cake, White Chocolate with Butter Crisco Buttercream icing (thus the nice creamy color) and decorations. I won't even go into the problems with this cake... you think 'what could go wrong with a sheet cake' let me tell you! It wasn't at all what I had in mind to decorate it with when I started. I am very pleased with the results though. I also tried a new large leaf tip border and inserted the small leaves. I like the look of it.

Here is my version of the Wilton Course II with the Basket Weave. I wanted a fall basket of flowers. It is iced in Cinnamon BC, the recipe is here on CC but I modified it using the Wilton basic Class BC and flavored it 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 tsp butter, 1/4 tsp almond + 1-1/2 tsp cinnamon. Yummy!!! The cake is French Vanilla. All the flowers are Royal Icing and the Chipmunk and Bird are Color Flow with Fondant Acorns, BC leaves & grapes. I loved making this basket! Enjoy. Thanks for looking.

A co-worker asked me to make a cake for her SIL who was turning 40. Yes, I messed up and put 50 on the cake instead of 40. I was pretty embarassed when she came to pick it up and I had to do a quick correction! Anyway, grapes and vines are fondant, wine bottle is real.

Here's the cake for my friends store opening. The design of this cake turned out totally different due to MANY technical difficulities :(. So the top wine bottles are cookies. The cake is yellow with the Fresh Strawberry filling receipe on this site -- yummy!! The ropes are fondant painted in gold luster and the little gold wine bottles and openers, etc are chocolate I painted in luster gold. They really loved the cake -- even though I changed the design.

My first 3D turkey cake!!!!!! Thanks to MrsMissey for the directions and inspiration for this cake. Cake itself is a vanilla chai spice cake with vanilla chai BC (crusting....bleh I hate crusting icings LOL). Grapes are marzipan, pears are MMF, dipped in sugar. Lettuce leaves are real. I'm soooo proud of this cake! (Although in retrospect, I think it looks a tiny bit burnt! LOL)
