This cake was designed for a bride who's mom goes to my church (her name is Yetta),. so I always make a joke about it being "yetta n'other cake". :) They wanted something that ressembled the print and flow of her gown. The front of the cake had a long train and a sparlky brooch. (I'll post that along with this pic) . This cake has been requested at our shop by brides about 20 times over since we first did it.

This was for my niece's 17th birthday. She wanted a doll cake like the one she had when she was little. This was our grown-up version. Thanks to all the CC'ers who did the bridal gown cakes and gave me the inspiration. I have you all to thank for the idea of covering the doll in black and making a dress form. It was a big hit! Cake is orange cream confetti with buttercream and fondant. TFL!

I made this for my daughter's 5th Birthday yesterday! Vanilla cake with butterfinger buttercream filling and crumb coated in chocolate ganache. I was happy with how it turned out although ran out of time and had intended for there to be gold trimming on the dress and some of the ruffle details. It was a fun cake to make! First time doing ruffles and swags...a little learning curve there! Thanks for looking!

This was a fun cake. This is a replica, or an attempt at a replica of Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, her dress. I saw a similar cake done with Snow Whites dress, and I attempted this, and feel I could have done soooo much more, but the simplicity of the cake is what makes it so elegant. Please let me know what you think! CSM, TFL

My sister and my attempt at CC member Freubelmuije's beautiful Cinderella cake. Ours...not so much. Lumpy (my bad) but fun to make for no reason, just because she's visiting us for the week and wanted to make a cake. All fondant/gum paste accents (except for the plastic torso insert.)

Both of my son's preschool teachers are getting married next month so the kids are throwing them a shower. I made these as favors for them. Used NFSC and Toba's glace with added bright white coloring. Copy of another's design idea. Very easy to do and very fun.

A customer throwing a bridal shower this Sunday asked me to copy her really cute paper plate/napkin designs for an order of cookies. I loved, loved, loved the funky little gown, tux, flowers, doves, cake, etc...all of them!

I did a little improvisational work on them, just to make them easier. Some were a bit complex. Glad she mailed me an actual napkin, as the colours were really different from the computer pic she sent. I thought the tuxes were blue, but they were gray in person. The gown also has tiny pink specks in it that I couldn't see.

Did 70+ of them for her. Shipped them out this morning. Can't wait for her to see them!

For a baby's baptism. Carved from a sheet cake and decorated in buttercream. Very similar to the design I did several years ago, but this cake serves a smaller number, so the "skirt" of the dress is shorter.

Got to play with a lace mold from Country Kitchens Sweet Art! Had a dickens of a time getting a flesh-tone color and then it dawned on me as to why - I used butter in my icing recipe instead of all high ratio.
