THis was for my husbands 40th birhtday. He likes british real ale, so it seemed the most appropriate cake to make. It's chocolate with borwn fondant, The image is an edible photograph. THe cap painted with gold colouring. Enough cake to feed the 5000!

This is fairly simple - It's a 10x10 cake frosted with buttercream. The pot of gold is all made from fondant. The coins were all cut out using a drinking straw and we used piping gel to gloss them over for a sparkle effect. The clovers are all fondant too. I love the text on this cake - Used a font from the computer as my guide. The cake was a white cake with Andee's mints chopped up inside with a chocolate buttercream filling.

This was the bride's design. It's definitely different from the other cakes I have done. My issue with the design, since it is so exact, is you can't move decorations around to hide mistakes, ha!

It is all satin ice fondant. I purchased the ribbon and the bride requested artificial flowers. I had some issues with the fondant... however I got them mostly worked out. Now I just have to transport it an hour away! yikes!:) Overall I am happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for looking:)

This is my 3rd attempt at a cake. I made a dark chocolate cake and used the buttercream dream recipe I found on this site. The beads I made earlier this week and tossed them on there for the fun of it. I was trying to see if I could do swirls. I think my frosting was too melty so it was tough but I look forward to my next try which will be soon!!
Thank you for looking everyone.

I made this for a man who was celebrating his 50th anniversary of coming from Ireland to the US. The pot is a portion of a mini-ball cake covered in MMF and the gold coins are MMF brushed with lustre dust. The statue of liberty is molded using candy melts. Everything else is BC.

Buttercream with fresh flowers. This was the first wedding cake I ever did back in June 04, actually it was for my grandparent's 50th anniversary. I was sooo nervous! I had to travel 50 miles with it and I think I held my breath the whole way. Once I was there I made the entire room be silent while I set it up and I still got the top tier on backwards - but I was too afraid to move it again! Seems silly now :)

Pic isn't the greatest quality, but this was for a Moulin Rouge-themed wedding. It is ovals covered in fondant and painted with luster dust. The topper is real feathers and beads. The bottom is raised up on a smaller board and there is a ribbon with hanging beads attached to the lower edge fo the cake.

This was my first stacked cake with buttercream. It's had it's faults, but worked. I loved working with the luster dust/highlighter dust. This was fun overall. LOL, only had one meltdown!

This was by far the hardest cake I've made so far. Turned out pretty good but didn't like the results of the painted gold luster. Bottom tier is a MMF covered dummy and top was chocolate cake covered in MMF.

this is for a girl who is a tomboy and plays a lot of sports. Her mom wanted something girly and she wanted something with sports so I added the balls on the top to reflect the sports she plays (basketball, softball and bowling). Purple and gold are her school colors and what she wanted. The balls didn't dry very well so they were a little squished but she still liked it. All fondant and/or gumpaste

Done for a Hollywood themed bday party. They wanted the cake to look like a Hollywood star in the sidewalk, hence the gray icing.

I made this cake for my twin nieces who graduated from high school in 2006. It was my first big cake and was a little overwhelmed by how many roses you had to make to cover it! I had sent pictures of some cakes that I had seen and they picked this one. School colors were gold and green. I had a ton of trouble with their names! I didn't know how to center them to well back then!

Here it is.... finally! I am thankful everyone liked it. Round 8,12,16- yellow, choc w/PB, pound w/rasp accord. All BC. We had a huge caketastrophe!!! Thankfully my husband remade the choc and yellow cakes and the PB filling while I decorated after a huge breakdown! (the choc cake side fell offwhen I tried to smooth out the icing and the * dog got the yellow cake before I could ice it) Wiltons Spiral Seporator Set with white and yellow carnations and gold ribbon (also on the cake)

I made this cake for my cousin's engagement party. I had to transport this cake from Michigan to Toronto. I'm glad it made it there in one piece!

This was my first time making a tiered cake without the pillars. BC icing and royal icing roses. Bottom tier is strawberry flavored, the top is French vanilla with raspberry filling.
