This was my first time with marshmallow fondant and it was pretty challenging. Once all the kneading was done the decorating part was pretty easy. My three year old loved it so all the hard work was worth.

This was supposed to look like the Wilton cake from the 2006 yearbook. This was my first attempt at fondant and the rainbow that was supposed to connect the cakes broke so I made clouds out of buttercream and sat care bear figures on it. The hearts, stars, and sunshine are MMF. The letters for Happy Birthday are cut out MMF. It was stressful but fun.

1st Birthday cake. The birthday decorations had a pink teddy bear and blocks on them. We are in Okinawa Japan so I put the birthday girls name on the front in English and on the top in Japanese. This is my 1st time uploading a picture. Hope I did it right! The mom used one of the blocks as a squash cake.

I saw a cake like this in a picture on the internet. I recently started the Wilton Course Cake Decorating Classes. This is one of my before cakes. Cake is Pillsbury White cake, made 3, *" cakes. When I was icing it a corner came off of the tower, which is why it leans. Frosted with can frosting, used sugar cones for the corner towers, then just piped on the rest of the decorations. Flags are construction paper cut outs taped to tooth picks.

MMF doll cakes (real dolls) and 6 " cake. My first time with MMF and second time with fondant. Self taught so not really very good but made my dd happy. Should have used cake boards and then put them all together instead of decorating in such close quarters.

Yellow cakes with mini chocolate chips and BC. This is what I was able to do with only 3 hours to frost and decorate. Any suggestions welcome. Ignore the bright colors - don't know why it came out like that in the photo.

This cake was for a 7 year old girl who was having a baby doll party. I let the baby doll have a birthday cake on the cake. I would do the girl's clothes different next time. But it was a fun one to do!

This was my first attempt at blown sugar bubbles. It was a humid day and most broke so I made do with what I had on site and tried to make the buttercream look like additional bubbles. This was also the first time I did figure modeling of a person. That was fun! Overall a successful cake!

This was the first shoe cake I made with the template I downloaded from CC and it was sooo much easier than the shoes I've made in the past. thank you so much for posting it! I'm curious if anyone has a really good way to make the heel? Mine come out kind of lumpy. I was thinking of making a silicone mold of a real shoe or something

I made this cake for our little girl's 5th Birthday. She had a Fairy themed party. The cake is a chocolate packet cake, baked in a dolly varden tin. I coloured the roll out icing/fondant and then dusted it with eatable shimmer dust. Barbie pushed into the top of the cake prior to icing. Wings were from a butterfly toy and stuck onto the back of the Barbie. Feather bower added a little more glitz. Flowers are also made of icing. Placed around the fairy to make a fairy ring, as requested by the birthday girl.

Stacked 9" and 6" with IMBC icing and MMF accents. Topper is carved out of a loaf cake and covered and decorated with MMF. My little girl just loved her birthday cake. The best part was watching her eat Hello Kitty's head!

Whew! Sure am glad this is done. This was my first attempt at a castle cake and there were so many things I will do different next time. Such as not adding the turets(sp?) until after I arrive. They all starting toppling over in the car. But luckily I had brought extra icing with tips with me. Good thing is, my daughter loved it.
