I made this cake for my DD's 4th birthday. I used the animal crackers pan. The ears aren't pointed (forgot to trim them) but it still turned out pretty good!

I made this cake for a girlfriend's mom who is a big time shopaholic! She wanted something snooty and over the top for her mom. She later called to say her mom was in love with it! It's a strawberry cake with cream cheese filling and strawberry preserves. I photocopied the shopper and cut it out and then placed it on top of the fondant and cut it out with an exacto knife. Cake is covered in MMF.

This is 1 of 2 cakes I was asked to do for a Birthday party. Both were of Lizzie Mcguire. This one was the smaller one... she only wanted it as a simple cake for her daughter to enjoy the day before her actual party. This was threw together, and in my opinion was to "Busy" looking lol. Definitly NOT one of my better works! Wouldn't you know it though, out of both cakes...THIS is the One she liked best! Kids :o) Oh well, as long as the Birthday girl is satisfied...I guess that is what counts the most!

It must be the summer of Princesses! This is a smaller version of my first castle cake (all my own design). This one was only a 10" base cake, but we added a 6" vegan cake for the little girl's cousin so she didn't feel left out. The vegan cake has charm pulls for every little person at the party as well as a fondant crown colored with lustre dust.

This is a 1/2 sheet two layer white with chocolate filling cake. Iced in buttercream with fondant accents. Cinderella is a FBCT. My second attempt at btc. Parchment created a wave in middle. I guess I'll have to keep experimenting. I liked the way it came out otherwise. Birds are buttercream drwan on cake. Flowers are bc as well. Also put fondant jewels around sides. Dusted with pearl powder.

She wanted Bright Colors, so the Cake is covered in PINK, then trimmed in Bright Green, & Purple decorations. I cut a flip flop design from a piece of cardstock to make my pattern, then lightly pressed on the cake to make the imprint once the icing had crusted over. Then filled in with icing. Then to make the Straps for the flip flops, i used the Basket Weave Tip. I took a pointed object and traced out the words Old Navy on the Strap, then wrote old Navy with Icing on the bottom of the shoes.

Butter cake, white choc. truffle and raspberry fillings. Iced all in BC. Gumpaste crown, bow and name plate. Fondant flowers (everyone seems to want fondant ribbon roses lately). Dragees too. I made the crown using a playdough toy (that I use strictly for cakes). I wanted to put tassels on each corner as well, but when I was trying to finish up this cake (2 am) I broke my garlic press while trying to push gumpaste through it. Princesses are obviously toys.

This cake was made for a little girl turning 7. Her mother wanted a "girly girl" princess cake. The cake is mostly edible, with the use of royal icing, fondant, luster dust and buttercream.

This is a birthday cake for a 3 year old. I made a Dora cookie and placed it on a strawberry cake covered in buttercream . The clouds went around the top of the cake as well as the tree in the corner.

This cake was definitely a learning process! I am happy with the final results though. It's a white cake (wonder mold), on an 8" round. All iced in B/C

I used devil's food cake in the heart pan and strawberry cake for the bust. It was for my best friend's birthday and she is Filipino, so I added cocoa to the fondant for the skin color. I made my own stencil for the "S" out of an image I scanned from my son's storybook.

My granddaughter's birthday cake. It was supposed to be a topsy turvy cake, but didn't angle it enough and it just looks crooked. I used whipped cream in the buttercream and couldn't get it to crust enough to smooth. Chocolate transfers for the decorations. Cherry chip for bottom and top tiers and chocolate for the middle tier. Also very hard to bake and decorate a cake away from home without all my "stuff". The birthday girl was happy with it, though and that is what counts.

Birthday cake for my niece who requested a 'Princesses Cake'; pink buttercream with pink & white ruffles; Using the Disney placemat (front of photo), as a guide, the image on the cake is a chocolate transfer (of course!); took over 2 hours to make.
