I made this figure of the birthday girl, turning one, to go on the cake! I will upload the photo of the finished cake soon. She is made of Fondant and Gumpaste with LD accents.

A dream castle cake for a 3 year old. chocolate cake with chocolate icing, covered in buttercream . Homemade royal icing tiara. I made it on an oatmeal box, per instruction at CC. I had fun making this cake.

All buttercream. My daughter loves Dora, horses and rainbows so I combined the three for her cake. I confess I "cheated" by drawing the picture in pencil on a piece of paper, scanned that to my computer, printed an edible image of the drawing and placed it on the cake, then traced the drawing with black icing and filled in with assorted colors using the star tip. I didn't want t draw directly on the cake and risk messing it up.

I made this cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It's the NEW Wilton Romantic Castle Cake Set, stacked cakes (6 & 10 in) with the 4 princess' kit. I used buttercream icing and fondant flowers.

Birthday cake for a little girl with peanut & dairy allergies and a tree nut avoidance. Frosting was a new recipe and it came out very dry. Yellow cake mix, allergy-wise crusting BC & MMF decorations. The flower on top is off center because she had 2 large flip flop candles to use. Was just happy to be able to give this little girl a "normal" birthday cake. Mom sure couldn't go order this at any bakery in town! Alot of work but worth it!

Cheetah Girls cake. I'm still working on my airbrushing. I had a really had time getting tan, but the birthday girl loved it anyway. " Chocolate and 8" Vanilla cake. Frosted with butter cream and covered in fondant.

This is a little mermaid cake I did for a 3 yr old's bday. It's a 10" and 6" double layer, all buttercream, flounder and sebastian are FBCT, graham crackers for the sand, and I made the seashells out of candy melts. I had alot of fun with this cake!

Thank you DianeLM. I copied part of her beautiful Princess Doll cake design. It was made for a little girl who turned 3 today. She came with Mama to pick it up and her first response when she looked over and saw it was "WOW". That just makes all this so worth it to me. Just one simple little word from a 3 year old.

I made this for my 2yr olds birthday family party. Its BC icing with fondant accents. I made her name and the bow with fondant as well. I also gave it a sprinkle of luster dust.

I write HORRIBLY!! other then that it is buttercream over all with royal icing flowers... almost like the basketweave cake I am so original I am telling you. Nothing particularly special bright colors for a girl

This cake was for niece's first birthday. The cake and decorations are done in fondant. The ladybug is made from half a ball pan. My sister and I are still learning but were pretty proud of this one.

This was a cake I made for my daughter 6th b-day. I got the idea from a wilton book. It is white cake mix decorated with bc and cake and sugar cone for the towers, hard candy accents. This was a fun and easy cake to make.

Cake covered in Marshmellow fondant. I love the "Durable Cake for 3Dand Wedding Cakes" recipe from CakeCentral. The shoe was a modified design from CakeCentral's "How to Make A Gumpaste Shoe" Tutorial. My 5 year old daughter and 8 year old son helped with the fondant/gumtext designs. I attached all designs with a mix of Tylose and water. Cake board made from three double walled cardboards hotglued together and coved with fondant.

After watching Ace of Cakes on Food Network, I was inspired to learn about fondant. My daughter & I tackled this project together. This taught her how to be patient, observe, study, construct, visualize & inspire. Ultimately putting her ideas into effect. This is our first cake together. Today is her 6th birthday and we are expecting family and friends. She has so much to talk about ! Certainly an experience to remember! I've created memories that she and I will always remember.
