I loved this cake. Five little handmade jungle animals for the future mom to keep (the nursery is the same theme). Banana leaves & jungle plants adorn the side of the layers. Palm trees made from gumpaste. Fondant on the top of each layer to keep the animals cleaner. Everyone loved the look & the taste.

I chose a couple of animals from a napkin that was used for this one. All buttercream. (I left the blank area towards the top in case they decided to add some writing to it when it was picked up.)

Noah's Ark baby shower cake. Buttercream Dream on Deep Chocolate cake. Fondant accents painted with icing colors. I see a few specks of cake I just couldn't get out and my shell borders lately have been more zig-zaggy than shells. Critique Subgroup Member--all comments welcome

This was a baby shower cake for my cousin. Her favorite part of the baby bedding was the giraffe, so I attempted a giraffe on top (I'm still pretty new to MMF).

Cake for the cake walk @ my dd's school. The theme of their carnival was "Gone Wild". My main inspiration was a cake by anabelle. I struggled with the MMF but, overall, I was very pleased with the result.

I made this cake for my son's first birthday. It was simple, made from a 8" square and a 9" circle. I sliced a portion of the circle off and cut the piece in half for the ears. I used Kit-Kat bars for the horns.

Mom-to-be wanted a Noah's Ark nursery. But when the party planner saw the cake with the baby booties and another with buttons, she wanted all three. This is the blended design result. Lots of inspiration came from CC. I did not realize until I was looking at my pictures that some of the buttons had shifted during travel. Oops!

I got ideas from several pictures on this site. The tree is from the Giant cupcake pan with the base turned around. When I was working on it, I thought it would make a great tiki hut too. I can't wait to go to a luau. The!! The cake baked great in the pan. This was actually for a bridal shower. I didn't take pics of all the exotic animals around the sides. If I had more time, I would have put hearts on wires behind the giraffes & maybe dress up the giraffes as bride & groom.

This cake was made for a 2nd grade teacher's "surprise" classroom baby shower. I was told I could do anything I wanted and that the expectant mom did not know if she was having a boy or a girl. So, this is what I came up with. The animals are made from MMF mixed with some gum tex powder. The animals and polka dots are painted with luster dust.

I made these for another party for my son's first birthday. They are white chocolate whisper cake topped with buttercream. The animals are all fondant. Some parts were freehand and others were made using Wilton's noah's arc cookie cutters along with other fondant cutters. He loved his first cupcakes!
