This is just a cake I did for work, I had been dying to use the Gingerbread House kit, but I didn't care for any of Wilton's ideas, so...I did my own thing.

The second gingerbread house I ever made (christmas 2006). I decided to go with a country theme and it ended up being a whole farm. I am pretty pleased, the windows kinda got funny but it still looks ok. (the gingerbread was made from scratch)

I saw this Wilton pre-fab house marked down after Halloween and decided to try it since I am planning on making a "real" one this Christmas. I was happy with it except that they used gobs or orange icing as the "morter" for the house and I had to use alot of icing to cover it up

This is a gingerbread piece. The piano and the skirt of the girl are gingerbread. Everything else is fondant, including the covering for the stage. This was a lot of fun to do!

I made these as samples for pics for a flyer that I made. Some customers were requesting them to take to work so hopefully it's a busy holiday. TFL.

This was a science project for school. The kids helped make the gingerbread then wrote about the chemical reaction of baking soda and molasses. Then we had a great time decorating the house. I was amazed at how well it turned out with five kids 10 and under all working on it. And if that wasn't enough most of it was made with leftover Halloween candy!

This is the demo cake I did for the ICES Louisiana DOS in October. It was on holiday cakes - and I LOVE the brown guy so I did a gingerbread wedding. I airbrushed the cake brown so I could add little shadings. Red Ric Rac that is not too even (I lost my zig zag cutter), icing cap on the 6", big red bow, and "gumdrops" around the edges.

Hand modeled Gingerbread man with a sassy beret (he is French) and his fat little bride (she bakes and obviously eats her own gingerbread).

It was a simple little cak

The tree, figures, tombstones, stonework, door, roof and shutters are all fondant. The "ivy" is wheaties & tinted marshmallow (rice krispy treat recipe), the "dirt" is graham cracker and cookie crumbs, the windows are melted suckers. Sits on a carved (for the graves) styrofoam base. This was a table centerpiece for Halloween.

There used to be an amusement park in NJ called the Gingerbread Castle. It is now crumbling...Here is my version of how it used to be. I entered this in a contest. Everything is edible except for the wires holding the flowers and gingerbread guys. On the other side of the castle is Jack and Jill. Enjoy!

These are cookies that I copied from a magazine several years ago. Thanks to whoever for the idea (can't remember). Thought they would give good inspiration for Christmas!

this started off as a wilton castle, but other decorations obviously took over! made it for an office christmas party, and it was lots of fun to watch kids' faces light up when they saw it and plotted which candy they were going to pick off!

This was a joint CC effort brought to you by Candyce0928, jmt1714 and myself! Candyce0928 made the igloo, penguins, pool, and left side of the cake. jmt1714 made the gingerbread men. I made the gingerbread house, trees, right side of cake, and did other sporadic decorating. Cake was made for the foster kids' holiday party in my county and measured in at a whopping 2x3 FEET (double full sheet, 2 layer). Took 3 people to carry it. Thank you to my awesome helpers!!

This is thomas the train before and after assembly as well as before and after decorations. I had lots of fun, making the dough and cutting and bakin Thomas with my boys. I had to decorate by myself.... they had done their houses already. the Final product is sitting with one of the little houses for comparison - Thomas is 14 long X 7 wide X 9 high sitting on a 4X4 block of wood covered in Foil. I have a full picture of just the train in my pics. Thanks for looking. Good Luck!

second year i have made a ginger bread "sculpture" for a country club i work at. It is not completely edible, the towers are cardboard columns and the walls are balsa wood. I hot glued the gingerbread to the balsa, then decorated and adhered everything with royal icing ( in case you were wondering royal icing does adhere to cardboard). It took 26hours and I didn't charge enough.

I really wanted to make a gingerbread house cuz I never have before. I could only use the materials that I already had, which was fondant. Shaping a lot of the peices by hand was a pain. But it was fun and I think it turned out well. it was inspired by a felt Twinkle gingerbread house I saw online. (Also see front detail)
