My first attempt at a shoebox, gumpaste shoe, and gumpaste anemones. It was for a bridal shower. Yellow gluten-free cake filled with whipped chocolate ganache, iced in vanilla IMBC, covered in white MMF. Used the template on CC for the shoe! So much fun to make.

Full picture of the cake. This is my first time doing a tiered cake! I think it came out pretty well! It was my first time doing the swags as well. I found out something very important...you really MUST have supports under these things! Lol! The top tier is a Betty Crocker chocolate gluten free cake for my dad and the bottom is a chocolate cake for us. All bc. *Sorry about the bad shot, my sister took it for me and was having a hard time getting her hand to stay still and the lighting to be righ

Many of my residents are diabetic and can't partake of the birthday cake at the monthly celebration. So I made the cone cakes with sugar free cake mix and used the cream cheese diabetic frosting recipe listed here on cake central - thank you cc'ers! The frosting was delicious - some of my staff who sampled them couldn't tell it was sugar free. I couldn't justify buying a case of flat bottomed wafer cones when I had a bunch of sugar cones left unused from a catering, so I had to rig up a system to hold them upright to decorate and serve them. X's cut into the bottoms of upside down squat foam cups did the trick.

Gluten free chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting and MMF on top. The cake didn't take well to having a Barbie shoved in it and started to crumble, the dress is being held together by the strength of Marshmallows!

Everyone gets patriotic cupcakes for Labor Day, even my diabetic folks. Regular diets - yellow cupcakes filled with On Top, vanilla frosting and star sprinkles. Diabetic diets - sugar free white cake filled with sugar free on top, vanilla sugar free frosting and star sprinkles. Sugar free are in gold foil and regular are in white paper.

6/8/12, all BC, on free standing acrylic stands. I was so excited to do this cake! Bride picked the design from one of my older pics (like from the 80's!), and I got to do lots of colors in BC decorations. I was also thrilled when I was able to really match the colors in the silk flowers she supplied (see add'l photos). They are big hockey fans, so she had a plastic trophy to sit next to the cakes. I had to rearrange them about 3 times before I found the setup that complimented the trophy and the cakes, without hiding the cakes.

This was my second cake for our Free Cakes for Kids Chapter. It was for a 10 year old boy whose sister recently passed away, his mother was laid off and his father is in prison. It was an extremely busy week at work and we had to deliver this over an hour and a half away, but his big smile when he looked at it made the late night and long drive worth it! Cake is covered in buttercream with fondant Spongebob and balloons. Sky and grass are airbrushed.

This was my third cake for Free Cakes for Kids, San Antonio. The mother requested this cake because she had gotten into some financial trouble during the summer and was trying to get caught up. Kaleb was really excited about the cars, especially the Mercedes. The fondant roads make his age, 11. I made the Hot Wheels logo out of fondant and my husband made the birthday boy's name in the Hot Wheel's font. We lined the roads and sides of cake with fondant flames and flame panals.

Fall wedding for 200 people. Flavors were strawberry with french vanilla icing, yellow with orange icing and gluten-free chocolate with orange icing. Each cupcake had a white chocolate leave on top. The yellow cupcakes had yellow luster dusted leaves and the strawberry had orange leaves. The gluten-free had one of each. The cupcakes and top tier were all iced in a pale beige color. The MOB ordered and decorated the cupcake stand and she was pleased with the whole outcome. This is only the 2nd time I have had a cupcake request for a wedding.

This was for a 5 year boy who wanted batman. Everything had to be sugar free so the icing was hard to work with. Since it wouldn't crust, I couldn't smooth it like a normally do...thank goodness for the buildings around the sides!
