This was my first Gluten~Free cake and I was surprised at how good it tasted! The little girl's mom had always made her cakes, but wanted something more creative. She wanted a peace sign, and I found my inspiration from a cake by reyna here on CC. TFL :)

My entry for the ICCA Wedding cake competition, Ebony got "Highly commendable".
Theme: Monochrome and red roses, some mixed colors to "POP" the whole look.. Freehand gumpaste roses dusted in some funny name for red and scarlet, the foliage is inclusive of poppy seed heads, funny named berries, funny named other seed pods, oriental grass, rose leaves that were made from a rose petal cutter because I forgot to bring the leaf cutter so I guess you could say it's semi free hand, some funny long leaves and begonia leaves in the second bunch. Mind you, my very first PROPER bouquet.
The second tier from the top would be an eyelid technique rojak lace work, piped free hand (NOT sugar veil), I piped the "fish net" extension work on the spot, hence the shortness.
Next tier would be inspired by one of my very own ink pen "Modern art" drawings, call it whatever you like. I was given a huge err suitcase of SK food coloring last year so I used them for that tier to thank Squire's kitchen.
The next tier would be dedicated to my Dad, those were my very first flowers I made, daisy version rolled out with toothpicks, I made them into a fantasy hydrangea-ish thing.
Next would be "Oriental stringwork", I thought it was pretty borring piping them right on the cake so to give them some texture I put some err... Semi ball random gumpaste blobs.
The next tier would be mosaic inspired, Williamkate's wedding cake (The bottom most tier.) inspired in a way.
Last tier, my very favorite, henna inspired but actually not quite anymore, I thought about most of it, no henna reference like last year's. Basically gothic black lace.

I made this cake for my dad and his new wife, who love Native American art. I traced the design with melting chocolate, but the actual painting was too intricate, so I had to simplify it. They also love music, so the cupcakes have chocolate musical instruments on them.

I made this cake for our Medieval Society's Yule Feast. It is a two layer cake--the top layer was a Sugar-Free Yellow cake and the bottom layer was a Carrot cake with Cream Cheese icing (which I don't ever want to use again!). It tastes good but it sucks to decorate with it!

Each layer is a hexagon cake. The bottom layer, on every other side, has an edible image of the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess and the Baron and Baroness. In between each image, I used icing to put a DL which stands for Dragon's Laire, which is the name of our Barony.

The top layer is turned so the corners are in the middle of the sides of the bottom cake (did that make sense?) and, on each side, has an edible image of the coat of arms (which is called a device). The image of the King and Queen is centered below their devices, the image of the Prince and Princess is centered below THEIR devices, and the image of the Baron and Baroness is centered below THEIR devices. Then I made a copy of the Barony's device (double-sided) and put a toothpick in between the two so that I could stand it vertically in the center of the top layer.

I made this cake for my grandmother's 80th birthday. She loves chickens/ roosters, so I decided to make a cake that looks like one. The internal support consist of carrage bolts, nuts, wood platform, and wooden dowels. The bottom of the support is all rice crispy treats, and the top of the chicken and neck are all chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. I enlisted the help of my dad to cut out all the feathers. The bottom of the board is covered in crushed graham crackers. Overall it took around 15 hours to put together.
