This was for my little cousin's quinceanera (15th birthday). She had a star theme and wanted a fountain, little dolls to represent her court and "old fashioned" style tiers. Used the lights and tulle to add to the star theme.

I made this cake for my parent's 30th anniversary party, I wanted it to look just like their wedding cake (you can see it in the picture on the table)! Iced and decorated in buttercream with royal icing roses. And of course, no wedding cake in the 70's was complete without a fountain and a few pillars & cherubs!

Small heart shaped wedding cake covered in fondant. Customer wanted something small but heart shaped, and I offered the fountain as an added little thing to make it more elegant and they loved it and I think it really helped it.

Can't tell you how MANY people asked where I found a fountain, because they hadn't seen one of these in years! lol Bride had wanted this since she was a little girl and saw pictures of her mom's cake. All white cake with one funfetti tier for the groom! All BC decorations and real flowers done by the florist.

This was not my favorite cake to make. First cake I have done for someone that I didn't like the design, hard to get excited about :). Birds were tricky, but I think they came out pretty cute. Bottom layer is a dummy layer. Enjoy!

This was my entry fro the Mizzou Cake Challenge 2011 judged by Duff Goldman. I did several things on this cake that I had never done before. I had never stacked a cake, worked with modeling chocolate or gumpaste, made flowers, leaves and ferns. I have never used the brushed gelatin nor had I ever used piping gel, royal icing or gold glaze. I didn't have a brick mat, so all those bricks are done by hand with a ball tool and then hand painted. All the hand painting is done with a vodka/amerigel color combination.

Everything on the cake is either a landmark of Mizzou or part of the Mizzou culture. I had never been to the Mizzou campus before the competition and I just worked off of pictures on the internet.

Wedding in the Water Park. A small fondant covered cake was added to make a fountain. Blue tinted piping gel gave the illusion of water steaming down into the buttercream "pool". The wedding party is in floating around on donuts with their flippers on. People are made with vanilla wafers and royal icing. Flippers are fruit chews that were soften and shaped.

This was a 3-tiered cake over a fountain with several satallite cakes surrounding it. The lit trees behind made a great backdrop for this very special wedding.

This is a "traditional" type wedding cake that I don't get to do very often. I thought the presentation was nice and thought people might enjoy seeing it.
