Well.. :) This was my first mini cake, fondant flower, and fondant bow. I think it turned out pretty well :) My chocolate BC was a bit soft, so it kept smushing under the fondant. (It thawed too quickly!) Inside is dark chocolate cake, and whipped chocolate BC. This was for a drama teacher at the local highschool who had been out a few days. The cake is approx 3x3x4.

I used the "my easy chocolate fondant" to make the brown. It was great! After letting it sit for a day, it set up and it was very easy to use... and it tasted like chocolate marshmallow fudge! yum!!

I made this for a good-bye party at work. It's all edible. It's a three-layer chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and filling. I made the chocolate box on top and filled it with some chocolate peanut butter balls I made. The tissue paper in the box is gum paste and the bows are chocolate fondant. It's my biggest cake so far... I was pretty happy with the results!

I made this in my wilton class. I wish we had had more time to work on this cake and make it more intricate or detailed. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it.

This is my first full fondant cake. And boy do I have some major learning to do! I made this for my own birthday. Just wanted to see how I'd do. I made some major mistakes and thank goodness pictures hide some of the flaws. That being said, it was really fun and I'm excited to use fondant more in the future.

PS. This is also my first stacked cake. A lot of firsts today!

Here it is! My second wedding cake. It was pretty short notice but I think it turned out ok. All tiers are my famous Double Chocolate Layer Cake with Bittersweet Chocolate Frosting. The fondant bow on top is the first fondant bow I have ever made. That was kinda scary :) Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!

This is a cake for a 40th anniversary. I covered the cake in fondant then attached the fondant ribbon and bow. I then "painted" the ribbon and bow w/ super pearl and added the embossed designs on the cake w/ BC icing. The poinsettias are gumpaste.

This was the first time I made a fondant bow and buttercream poinsettas. Next time, I think I will make my bow thicker, I should have made more loops but ran out of time and lol. The bow has glitter on it and it looked really pretty in person but for some reason in the pic it looks wet. It was rainy here when I had to do the bow and it caused a lot of trouble! Now, I understand why so many of you say humidity is bad for fondant. lol. The cake was a classic white cake with lemon and white chocolate filling

This was my first paying job!!! I used cake dummy's. And one of the bow's is fondant, so is the gift tag. The gal I did it for wanted it to be elegant and look like gifts. I was very nervous making these cakes.

My first paid cake! A devil's food cake with fudge filling covered in chocolate buttercream and white fondant. The writing is on a white chocolate covered cookie. This was my first attempt using 24k gold powder. I mixed it with vodka and hand painted it, but I was still not thrilled with the result. Any tips for working with gold would be greatly appreciated! Everything but them gemstones are edible.

I just finished this cake for a co-workers Birthday tomorrow. This is my first fondant bow. Thanks to everyone who answered my cry for help and a special thanks to Tiggy2 for suggesting using wet fondant in the center to hold the bow together. Also thanks to Boween. I used a picture of one of her cakes as a sample for the bow. Feel free to critique! I am very open to constructive criticism. Thanks for looking.

I loved making the fondant bows for this cake. I tried the dipped fondant method to cover the cake and found out the hard way that doesn't work on large cakes. But it turned out okay.

This was based on a Karen Davies cake. First try at making a fondant bow. Learned that it needed to be made ahead of time so that it would hold its shape. By the time cake was delivered, we could remove the kleenex. Whew! It's the White Almond Sour Cream cake frosted in buttercream. The baby is molded out of modeling paste.

The second fondant bow I have done. I used candy melts to put together and it was much easier. Sure wish I could get it to shine more. I did use luster dust, but the cornstarch shows from rolling it out.
