I made this last minute for my niece's 8th birthday. The icing for both the cake and flowers is Martha Stewart's Meringue Buttercream for Flowers (it's a Swiss-style, I think). The hearts and butterflies are white chocolate painted with pink luster dust. I was in such a hurry that in the end I was just making blobs of icing for flowers between the roses! Who care that they don't look like any particular flower as long as the overall effect is good! :)

This I made for a young girl on her puberty seremony. (hindu tradition) I got some ideas from Stephen Benison's book. All made out of pastillage, flowerpaste and fondant. It was a hit for them.

This is one of those cakes that gave us grief, nothing went right... including the colour, I had hoped for a dusty pink and ended up with a salmon colour. Not even the photo's would come out the way I wanted.... I will post a second angle of the cake...

This was a last resort cake after my topsy-turvy cake flopped. Frosted and edged with Wilton whipped icing and used fondant for the decorations. The antennae are just floral wire.

After taking Class I 21 years ago, I decided to go back and finish the rest of the Wilton courses so I could learn to work with fondant. This was my first experience doing a complete cake in fondant and I really liked it!

Yellow, Chocolate, and Pina Colada Cupcakes with fondant flowers. For a little girls BDay. Clients decided to have a small cake for the girl and a dessert Buffet for the rest of the guests. What a great idea. Will get a display pic from client later to post.

Here is a combination of different materials: the cake itself is covered with buttercream, and also the grass. The flowers and the fountain are made of gumpaste.

My first wedding cake attempt, as well as my first upload on this site. Please leave feedback. The cakes were two layer with bc icing and fresh flowers on top. There are swirls on the sides with a leaf border on top and a bead border on bottom. The flowers were done by the florist to coordinate with the bouquets.

This was the first wedding cake I have ever done. I have not had a chance to take any classes yet and that's why I love this web site so much lol. You can't really see it...but above the bottom border is a flower border that was very pretty. And for the record I will never use a cake stand like this again....very unstable....espescially the top tier.

This cake was made at very short notice, not planned at all. My friend said she was coming over so i came up with this for her..... The daisies are first attempt at royal icing flowers. I was pretty much practising royal icing flowers, but ended up putting them on a cake.

But I came home and made the beautiful butterfly then dropped my royal flowers and my color flow butterfly on the flower it was rather sad...
