The building is 4- 10" square cakes. Top cake is strawberry swirl with natilla filling, choco cake with cookies n cream filling, yellow my way with dulce de leche filling, finally choco cake with cookies n cream filling. Iced in BC. Fondant accents and truck made with modeling chocolate over rkt. TFL! FIrst time making such a large cake and it was a learning experience.

I made this for my brother in law for his birthday. Chocolate cake with peanut butter cream filling. Covered in MMF. I used the Cricut Cake to cut out all the red.

This cake was done for my husbands coworker that has retired from the fire service. I asked my husband what the guys think should be on the cake and I guess the story is this gentleman always thought it would be funny to have a fire helper monkey. So here it is. . . .Mojo the fire helper monkey ironically asleep on the job! All buttercream.

This was more of a difficult cake for me. It was an egg and nut free cake, making the texture more of a difficult nature for stacking and shaping. It was more crumbly than my normal good and trusty recipes. It still turned out well. It is a carved 8" chocolate cake, coated in buttercream and covered in MMF. The decorations, ladder included, are MMF. I used Nu-silver luster dust for the silver decorations and loved working with it. I looked and looked for a cute fire truck design and found one from Spring Lake Cakes. It was a larger version than the one I made, but fell in love with the design. Thank you Spring Lake Cakes for your awesome cake ideas.

Hose is pound cake and helmet is strawberry swirl. This is my first time making this cake and everyone loved it! Many thanks to ddpiesslice for the tutorial.

Firefighter helmet cake for a sweet 4 year old. I attempted to follow the excellent directions on the "DDpiesSlice" blog. I had to leave out many details and the cakes were 8" instead of 10". Everything is fondant except for the gum paste letters on the shield. This was fun, but challenging. Thanks for looking.

This is a strawberry swirl cake covered in mff. I made this for the Charlotte Co. Fire dept. We all wore pink and it was great to see the guys wearing pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. It was awesome being part of this event.

1/2 sheet chocolate buttercake filled with mocha buttercream, caramel sause and chopped walnuts. Everything is handcrafted except for the small yellow letters.

This cake was a surprise for a groom who is a fire fighter. It was to resemble the grooms actual helmet. It was on a "coiled" hose cake, I loved making this cake and getting it to look like the actual helmet! He was totally surprised and loved it! The only thing that was inedible was the eagle spacer. TFL

My turned 8 this week and he wanted a firefighter themed cake. I decided to make a cake that had some of the things firefighters would use rather than a big fire truck cake. He loved it and I had a great time making it.

This is my 2010 entry for our local Gingerbread contest. This is a house that is on fire. You can't see the lighting in the picture but it had flickering red lights inside to look like flames and the firetruck lights blinked and rotated and the spot light shined on the girl. I won 1st place. It was a tribute to my dad and brother who were both firefighters.

Pound cake with BC frosting covered in Fondant. Letters are candy. Inspired by photos here on CC. Made for a friends graduation from the fire academy. The board says "Last woman standing" because she was the only female to make it through.

My husband and I are firefighters. I made this cake for his shift. Everything is MM fondant except for the boots which are gum paste. I had a lot of fun making this cake for them. Hope you enjoy, TFL!!

Groom was a firefighter so bride ordered this grooms cake. It was an exact replica of his helmet. Eagle and shield was gumpaste, the rest was MFF fondant.

A cake for a futur graduate student. This was my most consuming cake ever. Went to a firefighter house to measure their helmet, and try to do a real one. It came out very good. I love this cake. Thank you for looking.
