Well guys the valcano and the cake turned out great, I put a shot glass in the top of the valcano and some dry Ice and it was smoking.

Thans for the great words and advise, this was only the 2nd cake I have done, and I am thinking that I am not done yet!

This is the "offical" first wedding cake I'd ever made. It was for a small fall wedding. I just loved the dried floral on the top

White chocolate leaves hand painted with different dusts. the cake has 3 layers it then becomes perfect height for the cigar cookies. it takes about 20 dollars just for the cookies. This also great for a grooms cake.

Couldn't find a turkey cutter in time so I used my seashell one. Worked out pretty good.

This cake measures: 10", 8", 6" tiers. Decorations are made of MMF with tons of Luster Dust! By the way, I made the cracks on purpose! I thought it gave the cake an Old World look. I think this cake would be ideal for a wine tasting party or a wedding in a vinyard with lots of grapes on it rather than leaves. Cake for thought! LOL!

This cake was made for a bridal shower for a fall wedding. They just wanted a sheet cake with fall leaves and no writing. Leaves are oak and maple made out of gum paste, frosted with BC.

This is a chocolate cake with butter cream icing. I airbrushed the orange color and added rosettes and chocolate chips to give it a different look.

This was my first basket weave, first time using royal icing and color flow. The royal icing is ok but the jury is still out on color flow. I had a b*#!h of a time getting it off my paper without breaking. Definitely need more practice with all of it but I had a good time.

This cake was for a bride-to-be who made her own wedding invitations. Since the wedding is in October on a farm, she designed a red and gold leaf motif. I used that as inspiration for her cake. It's a four layer chocolate cake filled with mint chocolate chip buttercream (a new recipe I invented just for her) and covered in dark chocolate ganache. The red and gold leaves are chocolate transfers that I drew freehand, and the gold ribbon is satin lined with clear packing tape. She loved it!

I was having trouble coming up with something creative. So the client just said to say "Happy Birthday" on it, and decorate it somehow....maybe "flowers for guys". I thought a fall theme might be more masculine, and since the cake had chocolate frosting it worked out well. Merckens candy melts dripping down the side. Bottom border alternating colors leaves.

This was a cake that was to be "fall themed" in color for a wedding rehearsal dinner. I used a new color; Terra Cotta, and my husband said it is ugly. hmmm. Anyway, after hearing that, I thought the entire cake was ugly! I almost didn't post it! My mums didn't turn out well either. But the red leaves were nice. Sometimes you just don't feel the creative bug in you, ya know?!

I used the four tier acrylic cake stand. 6" choc., 8" white, 10" white, and 12" choc. Each cake is a different design. I painted the "F" with gold luster dust and did swiss dots. (my first time to use luster dust!! Very exciting!) 8" was the diamond impression mat, 10" was swirls, and the 12" I was running out of ideas so I did vertical lines. Accented with fresh mums.

This was my first experience with a 3-tier stacked cake. The cake is a PB/Chocolate Marble cake for all 3 tiers and the PB Fudge filling and the ALL BC frosting and flowers came out quite well. Despite the trouble i had with putting it together (the cakes were still squishy in the center and had to rebake them after already splitting them in half!), I had a lot of fun making the cake and can't wait to do another one. Everyone at the party raved about it, so I can't complain.

My first time trying to emboss the frosting with a paper towel. Had to freeze the cake over the weekend so I frosted it then froze it. Let it thaw overnight in wrappings but it still sweat. I waited till it was thawed to add the flowers and leaves. Leaves are fondant. Flowers and cattails are royal icing.

My nephew begged me for a cake while they were visiting for Thanksgiving. So I made this quick cake while they were at the Cowboy's game. It's just a 10" round cake w/ bc icing.

This really should be under cake disasters, but as the client was happy in the end, I guess all is well. From runny icing to bubbly fondant, I don't think I got hardly anything right with this cake. But in the end I got the thing put together and I didn't have time to re-do it so I just had to go with what I had.
