3 tier Red Velvet Cake with buttercream icing. Gumpaste leaves, and pearl border on top tier. I could not find the leaf cutters I needed in time, but found wood leaf stencils, and cut around them. Tedious, but I had good results.

This is a some sort of buttercream/custard. It calls for whole egg cooked over a double boiler with chocolate and sugar until it thickens and then when it cools, you add softened butter. It's pretty hard to pipe with as it warms quickly, but the taste?!?!?!

The only "boo-boo" was that I had someone take a picture at the event and it had already been smudged on top by a curious finger! LOL, but unitl then it looked pretty good. Cake is a walnut cake - no flour.

The birthday party was an autumn theme. All the decorations were done with MMF. I had a lot of fun mixing up the colours to create the fall leaves. The mini pumpkins were pumpkin spiced cake molded using mini bundt cake pans.

This was for a bride getting married in the fall, she had very particular colors-truffle brown, avacado green, and burnt orange. She didnt want any flowers only leaves. So I came up with the design of brush embroidering them on the side of the cake and then painting with gold luster dust over the top. Everything is buttercream except the fondant ropes around the tiers, and fresh flowers on the top.

For the office monthly birthdays. 12x18 all BC. I'm not happy with the 2nd pumpkin (which I made 1st) so I left the pumpkin lines off on the other one .... I like that one better. The corn stalk is just a lot of lines made with a big star tip.

This was a stacked round cake witha 14", 10" and an 8" on top. The cake was iced with Buttercream Icing and the bride requested bold fall colors on teh side. She was thrilled with it and so was I!

never uploaded this in the fall until now. Was supposed to go into nephew's school cakewalk but despite my great photography, the cake looked awful (2am ran out of c.s./red mmf so couldnt totally cover apples. Good trial run though. MMF outside, apple cake with caramel filling and frosting/crumbcoat.

Black and white held in fall wedding... It was only going to be three sizes, but I made four, 'just in case' since It was travelling from PA to VA. Made it with no problems, but the reception was on a Navy base, post 9/11 and the sepertined lane with a speed bump every car length made me hold my breath till I was blue. I put out three and the family chastised me for not doing the fourth one too.... guess they never heard of the back room!! Swing dance theme

This was a fall themed wedding cake for my bosses daughter. (no pressure there!!!) She had a picture from a bridal magazine that she wanted me to recreate. Apple butter spice cake with caramel buttercream, fondant and marzipan covered. All fruit made from marzipan and hand painted with dusts. All flowers and leaves were a fondant gumpaste mix. Also hand painted.
