For a second marriage. This couple was into fairies and fantasy. How fun!

This cake is actually a complete copy of their invitation, which I will post here too. Mushrooms, fairies, flowers are all in gumpaste. Cake in IMBC buttercream.

Another castle cake but this time in purple. I also remembered the flags at the top of the turrets before I took the picture this time. I like this cake and it isn't too difficult.

This is my 3rd attempt at this cake, for the same family.

This time I used a 9 inch square pan which I cut down to about an 8 inch and used the spare to give me the 2nd floor. I covered shop bought mini swiss rolls for the turrets and put purple sprinkles on the base of the turret roof using butter cream.

This cake is easier than it looks and when I have more time I will upload the other 2 photos.

This is mud cake I did a while ago now. Before I didn't have a finished picture of it. I made the stand for the cupcakes out of two pots which I covered in icing to match the theme on the top of the cake. It was a lot of fun to make. The wings are made of rice paper. Thanks for looking!

I made this for a little girl's 6th birthday. She would not tell me what she wanted, only that the frosting must be chocolate. So I decided to try a tree stump with fairies. It was my first time using gumpaste and I had so much fun!

This was one of the first cakes I did for a friend's daughter 4yrs (all she told be that she wanted pink and loads of butterflies). I was one of those cakes the more you did the worse you felt about it. I broke the little dolls foot so had to cover it in butterflies!!! All made with Fondant.

I drew this idea up for a friend who was having a christening with a flower and fairy theme. The theme has changed to ladybirds now so I thought I would put the idea out there because I would love to see it made up in cake!

I used a Tinkerbell icing transfer for the image and made royal icing flowers for it. The name is made of royal icing, though quite fragile, the "y" broke when I was putting it on so it doesn't look that great. I was happy with this cake, although I still get really frustrated trying to smooth my sides.

This is made with the Cabbage Patch Kid 3-D pan. I wanted to make the wings out of rice paper, but I couldn't find any that would be used for crafts like this. Maybe the icing sheets (I think that's what they are called) would work. She is made from a chocolate cake, iced with buttercream. Her hair looks really silly I think....

Castle cake for a Bride, who was suppose to supply Castle topper and about 10 dozen flowers for the sides...neither was there, but we made do with some things we were given. We made the walkway down the front and the arbor over the Fairy Bride and Frog Groom.

Tinkerbell didn't turn out as well as I hoped so it may be more appropriate to call this a fairy cake!

This is a combination of a several different cakes. I used 2- 10" rounds for the base of the large cake, a sheet cake to make the actual purple flower, a 9" petal for the pink flower and the mounds (between the pink & purple flowers) & the mushroom top were made from a small Pyrex bowl. The cupcake made the mushroom base. All the little flowers & leaves were made with marshmallow fondant (my first attempt at fondant, I might add!). I made extra cupcakes (along-side the cake) to use the extra fondant.

The castle part was made of paper towel rolls, fondant, gumpaste, sugar cones, regular ice cream cones and fairy sparkle dust. This was a challenging cake to make and took many days of preparation, but in the end, it was worth it!!

This cake was created for a couple who were having a Medievial wedding. He was a prince, and she was the princess. The flowergirl was a fairy. I found a cake top of a fairy couple kissing, and designed the cake to fit it. The roses took hours to make, and that was the hardest part. The bottom tier represented a fairlyland. There was a little waterfall amid all of the greenery there.

This cake won a blue ribbon in the Bannock County, Idaho fair. The eye catcher was the rock fountain. I have two other photos of this cake listed showing close ups of the top and bottom tiers.
