this was for a friend's daughter who specifically requested a fairy cake with butterflies and pink roses on it. The roses look a little red in the picture but they were actually pink. I had fun making the various elements on this cake. The snail, mushrooms, flowers, name and skirt were all done in MMF. The bodice and grass are buttercream. The wings and butterflies are wafer paper. Thanks for looking!!

I made this Dora Fairy Castle Cake for my niece, I used a 9X13 cake which I cut to a 4x4 and 3 1/2 round then shaped. I took the toy for inspiration. I also used a 2inch round for top tower. Thank you to Lynda-Bob for her suggestions. Since this was such a small cake I ended up carving the top, for a bigger cake I would make the top out of RKT instead. This was a banaca cake with extender and turned out great. All Buttercream.

I made this cake for my niece's 11th birthday. Tinkerbell is made from modeling chocolate. The present she is sitting on is a dummy, but all other layers are white with strawberry filling, iced in IMBC, covered in MMF. All other accents are gumpaste. Thanks for looking!

The mom brought me the toys and the cake is three 6x3" rounds stacked high (cardboard and dowels in between with a center dowel). One of those things where a 4 year old's only request is a vague and bizarre "really tall with a house on top." Little girl was speechless, I think we nailed it :)

Thanks to laborrn2 for this cake design!!! I pretty much copied everything she did. The top layer is chocolate and the bottom is yellow. They both have the extender recipe added. This cake was fun. I still have to drive it 45 minutes away....so I'm praying that it will make it.

This is my first attempt at detailed cookies.
It is a color flow like cookie icing recipe that we give out at the cake and candy supply store I work at. The wings have edible glitter.

This was my attempt at Debbie Brown's Sugar Plum Fairy...6" round yellow w/ buttercream and fondant. Unfortunately her face looks more like Olive Oyle than a ballerina...next time I will use more spacing between the layers of frill for the skirt to save material and time! Please comment as I am a beginner and desire feedback. I am also really intersted in a price range for this cake. THANKS

This was a brownie brushed with gold luster. Tink was a chocolate transfer....which broke when I flipped it so if it looks like she had some cosmetic surgery, you're right, she did!

Had to make a fairy garden with a "no-marzipan-please" request. They actually meant no fondant. The original picture had butter icing in chocolate and green and i decided to replace the chocolate with slabs. My first attempt in that. The fairies and mushrooms are made with modeling paste (fondant and CMC and royal icing) The butterflies i bought at a flowershop (not edible). They name is moulded chocolate as well.

My Granddaughter wanted a Goth (now called Emo) cake for her birthday. The Fairy is an edible image. Lillies are royal icing. Celtic cross is fondant as are the two flowers with the skulls for centers. Had a lot of fun with all that black icing!
