Made this for one of my dance team girls who celebrated her birthday during competition this weekend. Top and bottom were strawberry and middle was yellow with a touch of orange flavor. Buttercream icing and fondant flowers. Everything edible except for the toadstools and topper base. It was fun to make - my first time modeling fondant and this is a very scaled down interpretation of an amazing cake I saw - can't remember the website now :(

This is a close up of my favorite fairy that I made for my mom's b-day cake. She is made out of all marshmallow fondant and her wings were painted with super pearl dust. I had a lot of fun making this for my mom. Thanks for looking.

Customer ordered a castle cake from my site and I was sick of the one I had so I made what I think are some improvements and then put the new pix on my website as well. Hope she does not mind!

A customer found this castle on some "how to do your own party" site and insisted she wanted one exactly like it...so I obliged. My dh says its ugly haha...I hope she likes it ok. There are supposed to be toy knights on it but she is going to provide those. The only other thing is on the site it said you could just put flags on toothpicks and stick them on the top of the coated cone. Yeah right...it breaks the cone! Hope she isn't disappointed but I just had to change that part.

I made a body for the fairy head posted earlier. Used various cutters for her dress and hat..I am going to put wings on my final fairy and also she will be holding a flower..any constructive criticism is completely welcome!! I want to make the fairy look wonderful! thanks again to Katharry, Aine2 and Liis.
I made her kneel so she won't have to hang off the side of the cake...lol

This cake was a practice cake because I wanted to try modeling out of fondant. It was so much fun to be able to play around with ideas without the pressure of needing it to be perfect! Chocolate icing over chocolate cake with mmf figures. I got a lot of inspiration looking through the galleries. Thanks so much to everyone for all their help.

The idea was taken from Debbie Brown's Enchanted Cakes book. My daughter was having a fairy party for her 5th birthday so I tweaked the design accordingly.

The cake was done together with a very close friend during her visit last year, some of her handiwork were those pretty turets. The cake survived a long trip (plus little hands) with few bruises and broken wing(s). Both of us were inexperienced, we had great fun trying new things.

One of my regular customer's birthday was on the same day. She left the decorating choices to me...this is what I came up with. The leprechaun and pot of gold are edible image gum paste plaques, the birthday message and shamrocks around the cake are edible images and the flowers are gum paste; I added candy coins to finish it off. The cake is a 10 in.. I forgot to add Disco Dust for some sparkle.
