My daughter's cake from her birthday party last week. She is a quirky one - no princess tiaras for this birthday girl - and she didn't want chocolate cake - it's carrot cake!!! Not bad for a 4 year old eh?

These cookies came out so huge! They were approx. 8" each. Thankfully, I only had to make about 30. All royal icing.

This was my son's 4th b-day cake and my very first fondant cake. A few areas that I would like to fix now that I've worked with fondant more...but he was pretty pleased with it!

This was just made for my son's 3rd birthday. I hand moulded the cake based on a tutorial i found online and also used Debbie Brown's book as a guide to, since I had a different toy than shown to model from I also used my own interpretation.
The face, wheels and some decorative details are made from fondant. The rest is homemade buttercream frosting on chocolate cake.
FYI the orange streak down the side is actually the candle meting down the cake! LOL!

Okay so I ditched edible Thomas and went for the back up...I hate putting none edibles on cakes but I'd rather put something non edible on than deliver a cake it looking horrible.
Everything (expect Thomas and Percy) are edible; made from Satin Ice.

14 inch round covered in buttercream- topped with 6 in for Thomas face, square cut for Thomas' body. Used chocolate rocks, rock candy, cotton candy, sparkle gel covered mini ice cream cones for trees. Covered Thomas' face with fondant. Used tons of super pearl dust for whole cake of Thomas coming out of a rocky tunnel. My son was thrilled with it!

I made this cake for my son's 3rd birthday, and it is one of my favorites. He couldn't decide on just one theme, and ended up choosing 6 - Little Einsteins, Dora, Diego, Sesame Street, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Thomas the Tank Engine.
The cake is a 12-inch hexagon with white cake and buttercream icing. It is covered in MMF. The characters were printed on cardstock and laminated. I wanted to do edible images, but my aunt's printer was out of edible ink. That is why I opted for the laminated figures. I plan on putting magnets on the back of them so that he can play with them on his magnet board.
The rocket was molded out of RKT and covered with red candy clay. The accents are MMF.

I made this cake for a friend's son's 2nd birthday. He is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan. The train cars, airplane, and tree are all sugar cookies that have been iced with buttercream.
