This is a Wilton design. I thought they were really cute and they were a hit at the Easter parties! NFSC with antonia's icing.

Wilton designs. I used a #2 tip for the cornelli lace, should have used a #1. But, didn't use a coupler. :-( These were the only two I did with the lace design. Just wanted to try it without making too much more work (new icing bags and cramping of the hand, LOL). They were for family parties. Of course no one else noticed except me. NFSC with antonia's icing.

The Egg Shell is made of white chocolate and the beak, feet, and eyes are candy clay. The body is a "black magic" chocolate cake and the head is a white cake.

I did this cake for my family for Easter. I made a DH french vanilla cake (using the cake mix extender recipe) and adding a box of cheesecake pudding. I baked the cake in a 2.5Q glass bowl, 8x2" round pan, and a mini stand up bear pan. I used the bowl and round cake as the bottom half of an Easter egg. I used fondant for the egg decorations and to make the pointy parts of the egg. I took the mini bear pan, cut off the ears, and used the 352 leaf tip to pipe on feathers so it would look like a baby chicken. I then used the grass tip to make grass on the inside of the egg and added some Easter candy to it.

I made this for an Easter Egg Hunt at a friends house. I did not have an oval pan, so it is a carved cake--- a little lopsided. But it's BC covered in MMF. All decorations are MMF, except for the centers of the flowers. Those are yellow BC.

I am not sure what the egg was all about, but I was asked if I could put a giant broken egg on top of a cake. It must have been an inside joke.

These are cupcakes that I threw together for my husband's office. They are supposed to be bird's nests. I tried using a grass-tip at first and didn't like the way that looked. So, then I used a star tip and built up a nest in a spiral formation. I used Peeps for the birds and Jelly Bellies for the eggs. I also used giant malted-milk ball eggs. For the Easter grass it is edible grass that you can buy from Orientaltrading.com and it comes in yellow, green, and pink. It doesn't taste good, but it's cool

Thanks for the inspiration Cake Central! Sorry I cannot remember the cake makers name! First time I made my own fondant (MMF). Every cake baker needs to try this! ALOT easier than I thought and it tastes so much better the the pre made stuff I was using! My first time using chocolate candy clay for the egg and rabbit (first egg and rabbit) ALOT of firsts!!!! FUN!!!

This is a dairy free chocolate cake w/ a chocolate peanut butter frosting, and the grass is the wilton class buttercream. The cake was pretty easy to make w/ a basket weave and then a star border. I used tip 233 for the grass and found it worked very quickly when I held it above the cake by about 1" and let it free fall (like sotas). I used peanutbutter m&m's for the eggs and a chocolate bunny to complete the look

This is my first attempt at a basket weave with more than one color. It was a fun cake, learned a lot from the mistakes on it. The cake itself is a yellow and chocolate checkerboard with chocolate filling-3 layers.

From Wilton's website - I just thought this was such a cute cake, I couldn't pass up making it and had to take everything to do so to my friends house in Washington DC to make it over Easter.

Chocolate BC w/ royal icing flowers. I wanted to make a chocolate fondant handle, but it broke. Has the mini eggs in the middle, and around the base. Tinted coconut green for the grassy base.

Bunny and eggs are MMF, the rest is BC. I made this awesome handle using gumpaste (which is a pain in the ---) and then it broke on me. The person it was for hadn't requested it, so I didn't scurry about to find something else.
