These are yellow cake with french vanilla creamer and brightly colored candy melts. They were nicely egg shaped before I dipped them. Thinner melted candy is recommended! A few of them do resemble dyed eggs.

I'm going nuts. LOL . I used the egg pan to make the M&M with nuts. Trimmed it off, so he would sit flat, then shaped everything out of mmf. He is sitting on a 9x13 with the grass tip. All of the eggs are made from mmf too. These are so cute and fun to do, would recommend them to everyone to try.

Here's my Easter Projects! A cake for Pot Luck Maundy Thursday (Sheet Cake with Cross - Idea from someone here at CC), Sugar Eggs... there should be 6 but they were still in production when I took this photo, and lastly the one in the middle, our family Easter cake. It's a simple oval with a half sports ball on top but the cake batter was colored and dropped in by spoonfulls... Looks cool! However I overloaded the strawberry filling and its started pudging out. Should still taste good!! Enjoy!

I felt so bad sending off the earlier easter cake that I just made today, that I had to make a smaller version for my son. I had all that white space and didn't know what to do so I went a little crazy with the grass, and the eggs, and the flowers, and everything! LOL. SO much fun though! Yeah, I know there is still lot's of white space on the board, but my hands were seriously falling off at this point that I didn't care!

This was a lemon cake with vanilla buttercream basketweave. Small flowers and leaves are RI. Pink carnations are made from starburst berries and cream. 'Tissue paper' is MMF and handle is a last minute idea after my fondant one broke!! It's mini marshmallows threaded onto craft wire and wrapped in ribbon.

I decided at the last minute to do an Easter cake. It was my first time doing basketweave. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I made a couple mistakes but that's because I was out of time and my guests were already arriving for Easter so I rushed. The cake is Dark Chocolate with Strawberry Pie Filling, Buttercream frosting and the eggs are real eggs that my daughters decorated the night before.

Ok, let me start by saying this cake was one disaster after another. DH made the fondant handle in the 11th hour so to speak as our beautiful braided on broke into pieces at the last minute. He did his level best on this and you gotta love him for it. Luckily it was just for family! Cake is marble with BTC, egg cookies decorated (mostly by DH) in RI. My heart wasn't in this cake and it shows but all in all it was OK I guess. Everyone really loved it especially the kids!

This cake was for a very nice lady that just says nothing special hun....Well I just have a hard time doing plain and she's so sweet! The bunny apparently ate too many jelly beans because he grew (flattened) over night and has a potbelly. Kinda cute though.

Easter themed 1st b-day cake for my nephew. Only wish it had made it to the party like this. Had a caketastrophy on route. My construction was faulty so we lost 1/2 the bottom tier and the middle tier just got a bit mushed. Still tasted great thankfully! Thank goodness it was for family. Choc choc chip cake with fudge bc filling, bc icing and fondant accents/decos.

I made this for Easter. This was my first attempt at a basketweave and it was surprisingly easy except that it wasn't especially straight most of the time. (You can't really tell though which is good) I added grass to the top and mini eggs to finish it off. I hope everyone at work likes it.
