This was done while I was taking Wilton's course I. The flowers, leaves, butterflies, eggs, and fenceposts are sugar cookies iced with color flow. The "dirt" is crumbled chocolate wafer cookies.

These cookies are still a work in progress! These are for my non-cake category entry in the show I'm entering in. There is going to be a little bumble bee nestled under the large leaf on the tulips. The eggs are done. They are dusted with luster dusts and colored dragee centers for three of the flowers. Regular royal for the small white flowers. The butterflies aren't done, not sure what to do with those. Let me know what you think please!!!!!

Just wanted to do a practice cake. This cake was huge, 2 layers of chocolate cake, 2 layers of white cake, cookies and cream filling and whipped cream buttercream icing. It was 6 inches tall!!! Decorated with asstd Easter candy. It was fun to make, that whipped cream buttercream is a dream to work with and tastes great.

This is just a shot of the side of the Chick cake. I used Marshmallow eggs for decoration. This cake reminds me of cakes my grandmother made every Easter when I was a child.

.....am getting there. The outlines of the bunny turned out sloppy because the icing was too thick/dry, but figured it out by the time I got to the chicks. I see that I need to put more icing inside the outlines so it pillows up a bit. Also need to improve my eyeball drawing - yikes!

This was my Wilton Level 3 final cake. I enjoyed working with fondant, but wish it tasted a little sweeter. I've heard of Marshmallow Fondant. Does that tast different than the ready made kind you buy in the box? Thanks for the input!!

It took a couple of weeks to make all of these flowers, since they had to dry in between steps. This was my first basket cake and first time to make all of these flowers! They are all made of royal icing. Most are on bases with wires. After the bases were dried and the flowers were dried, I then attached them together with more royal icing. After that was dry I handpainted them with Wilton paste colors (some are still tacky, so maybe this wasn't the best method). Basketweave is lemon buttercream.

These were for my son's pre-k class. The teacher was amazed and the kids loved them, especially my son who said: "Wow mom, you're cool!" I just love him.

Bunnies were made in royal icing. Jelly beans played the egg part of easter.

Here's my version! I made a rope handle out of fondant for the handle but it didn't dry in time. Cake is 10" 2 layer vanilla with BC. I used the mini bear for the bunny, fondant ears, paw pads, and facial details. Chocolate eggs, fondant basket with jellybeans.

Got part of the idea from the Wilton Fondant decorating book and made the cake springy looking for person's birthday. It's covered in teal fondant and the picket fence is white fondant cut out and sat out to dry. I glued them on with icing. The flowers are royal icing made in advance.
