This is my first attempt at the "Fun-n-Fluffy" lamb cake. I made it the week before Easter so I'd find out about any quirks associated with the 3D lamb pan. I didn't put hooves on the lamb because I planned to cover the base with flowers. I used Betty Crocker's pound cake mix, and it was too bland for my taste.

This is the lamb cake I made for Easter, and I've never had so many problems with a cake before! I was interrupted while frosting it, so I put it in the microwave to keep it safe. My husband removed it, and smashed the frosting on the top of the lamb's head. While doing the face, I bumped into the mouth, so I had to redo that part. As I was redoing that part, I bumped the chin, so I had to fix that. I breathed a big sigh of relief after I put that cake on the dinner table!

Not too bad for my first time. I made the icing too thin, so it flowed over the edges. I also stacked them too soon and they smudged. The cookies taste great though! I have a lot to learn, but I had so much fun making a disaster out of my kitchen!! I made tulips, leaves, and because I didn't have a petal flower cutter, I just used a round cutter and drew the flower with the icing. I used the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe and Antonia's royal icing recipe.

I'm teaching myself and this is my very first attempt at basketweave and the 3rd cake I've ever done. I would love to take a class! Buttercream frosting on cake and I made the bunny from fondant.

I made these to take to Easter at my grandmother's. Come dessert time, she wouldn't let the kids eat them. She said they looked too pretty and she didn't want to see them "destroyed." She made the poor kids wait until it was time to go and then she passed them out. (Although a few kids snuck into them, hehe.) I used antonia74's icing recipe. To some of the colors, I added Lorann Oils orange extract.

This was a 12 inch double layer cake iced with butter cream in a basket weave. I bought some donut holes filled with jelly and covered them with fondant and decorated them like easter eggs. Two chocolate easter bunnies, some peeps, marshmallow figures and malted milk eggs were placed on top with the fondant "eggs". A fondant covered dowel topped with a jelly bean and Happy Birthday banner was placed behind the bunnies. Piped butter cream "easter grass" finished the cake.

This Easter cake was made with buttercream icing for the icing and the grass. The bunnies and chicks were made with fondant and food coloring for the facial features and the water was made with piping gel tinted blue. The eggs are actually jelly beans.

A woman asked me to make a bunny cake for her family for Easter, and when I asked how she would like it decorated, her 5 year old daughter informed that she wanted it pink. I thought it was cute =)

This was my 2nd Easter Egg that I did for my family. I had a lot of green frosting left-over from another cake....... so I was already part-way done before I started thinking "oh no! rotten egg!" What do you think, and be honest - it looks like a rotten egg, right? LOL... I just went with it, since it was for my own family & they just like to eat the cake anyway =)

This is my third cake, and I am really enjoying cake decorating! I just wish I could find a way to make and decorate cakes without gaining a million pounds! This was for my kids on Easter - it is a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing. It took a while to pipe all those stars, but I think it came out cute! Thanks for looking!

I made all the decorations with candy & MMF. Cut MMF with cookies cutters and airbrushed. Cake is iced with buttercream and I used impression mat (first time) on the sides. Handle is wired ribbon. This was a donation that was raffled off for the cancer society.

Two layers of vanilla, two layers of yellow cake, filled with strawberry buttercream, crumb coated with plain buttercream and finished with MMF. All decorations are MMF except for piping, of course. I'll post a detail too.

I had so much fun doing this cake. I got the idea from Bmote1 (Thank you so much) I agree her on the book - Debbie Brown Enchanted Cakes for Children. I love, love, love the book! I used three 6" round chocolate cakes with a ganache filling and chocolate buttercream icing. The outside and all characters/pieces are fondant. My children and family loved it and didn't want to cut into it. haha I had to cut it for them. LOL

Just a chocolate cake with pink colored buttercream icing. The bunny is fondant and the eggs and handle are gum paste. This cake was a pain. The handle wouldnt stay up and to top it off when I walked out the door it fell on the porch-lol. But here it is. Haha.

This is a cake that I made for my family for Easter. The idea was taken from one of the Wilton books but their cake was heart shaped. It was my very first time doing daisies (haven't had that class yet) so I'm pretty happy witht he way they turned out.

This is another half egg cake that I did for my family. I found this really cute plate at Target! It is iced in pecan buttercream, and the decorations are fondant, except for the royal drop flowers.

This was made for our family dinner on Easter. Butter cake iced in buttercream then covered in fondant. I cut this from one of the smaller oval pans. The drape is actually a dark purple, but it looks blue in this picture. I got the idea from this site and just had to try it! I love the inspiration here!

My first attempt at baking and decorating cookies. I used the no fail sugar cookie recipe and decorated with royal icing. Using squeeze bottles really saved time. I didn't have to outline each cookie.
