I made this cake for a baby shower with a rubber duck theme; it is a 12 inch round Bride's White cake from the CMD. I made the duck out of MMF. I took inspiration from several different cakes I saw in the galleries here, and also the from the Wilton yearbook. It actually looked better in person, I didn't get a good picture of it.

This cake was created to match the birthday decorations. All bc decorations (the one is chocolate), the duck was carved from a sheet cake and placed on its own board to be used as the little ones smash cake. A CASC cake with cream cheese filling.

This is a cake I entered in a local competition. The theme was "A Tribute to Mom" The bottom tier represents preparation for motherhood, while we are pregnant, or in the duck's case, wait for the eggs to hatch. The middle section, which takes up the most space, is the time we spend caring for our children and teaching them to prepare for being an adult. The top of the cake is an empty nest, which represents when our children go out on their own.

I had fun doing this order. I was initially asked to do a cake for someone that likes to talk alot on the phone. I was really inspired by some of the other bathtime cakes done on this site so decided to combine both ideas. Cake is - Spiced vanilla madeira with vanilla buttercream & jam.

I just took a Spring Piping Class and I had a lot of fun, so I practiced on these. I will freeze them for Sunday, Hope they keep their shapes. It's just a little experiment. I lightly sprayed the green and blue on the white icing.

I made this cake for a babys first birthday. This was the most fun I have ever had making a cake. It is chocolate cake covered in buttercream and MMF icing. I was inspired by the cake done by cakes unleashed.

Made this cake at request of a coworker for her grandchildren. Got the idea from Debbie Brown's Cartoon Characters book. Not exactly like her cake, but inspired by. Cake is a chocolate chocolate chip cake with BC frosting. Made daffy duck and his dinghy out of MMF.

I was so disappointed in my cake. I rushed to get this done. The frosting was way to thick and I didn't have time to thin it. This was definetly a learning experience for me.

The cake was french vanilla cream with hazelnut buttercream icing and decorated with marshmallow fondant. Everything is edible except for the bathtub and rubber ducky on top. The ducks on the sides are tinted white chocolate. The bubbles & buttons are fondant. I hope you like it! =)

I made this cake over the weekend for my couins baby shower. She is having twin girls in three weeks. The cake was supposed to have One large duck on the top and the two little ducks in the center, they were fine until we got to the location when I went to put the large duck in place it fell apart. So we did the best we could and put on of the small ducks (the only one that made it) on top. She still thought that it was cute.

This one was....interesting...to say the least. It was my first time with a 3d pan and I ended up making this twice...even then, I had to cut the ducks head off and adjust it to the body, lol, it kept leaning! I dont know if I was suppose to use a different type of cake mix, I used b.c. super moist chocolate somthing....it is covered in b.c. added ribbon and luster dusted cheeks. Thanks for looking!!
