This was for my daughter's 3rd birthday who loves all things related to Ariel. I was crunched for time and used a store bought candle for Ariel and candy pieces for the Flounder, stars and shells on the cake. My daughter still loved it, even if I felt like I cut corners. It's chocolate cake covered in the decorator's buttercream.

The B-day girl got a hold of the smash cake before I started to take the pics, but mom was really happy with the castle, It was a scary ride from my house to the party (25 minutes) but it got there in one piece =)

Hello...WOW..I really liked that Wilton Castle kit...I was kinda scared at
first...Thankyou so much to Cammie..For which Hers I got my inspiration from.
This is a 5 and 9 inch round...They didn't want too much cake..Would of liked to do a bigger caslte...Oh well.
IT is covered in fondant....(I couldn't seem to get the brick impression mat to work for me today...BUMMER!!)...But, it seems alright without it.
Thanks for looking, Nicole

This was my first time trying this out-notice I only made 2 towers/turrets. Also my first time using the cobblestone method I have seen here-balls flattened with paper towels. The mom had asked for just a half sheet. But I went out on a limb, since the bday girl was turning five. It was the hit of the day. Everyone loved it!!(Good, for me on taking a chance). I made 6" & 8" choc castle and 9x13 double layer vanilla. It was way fun to do. I will be more daring wit the next one I think.

I put this together using the Disney princess castle kit. We got a picture of the birthday girl and actually covered one of the princesses' window with her. The birthday girl was part of the cake, too! Buttercream frosting.

This is what my daughter wanted for her 21st birthday. She wanted it in all buttercream with only a few accents of fondant. I don't really like it, but she loved it, I guess thats what counts.

Did this for my nieces 7th birthday. The middle tier is cake, the top and bottom are dummies. Inspired by the many different princess cakes on here!

This was a last-minute cake for a friend's daughter. They were getting ready to move and decided to throw a small birthday party before the move. I forgot to take a picture of the cake before bringing it to the party, so I snapped one as the candles were going in.

Wow! I have so much respect for all who do castle cakes....this was so hard! I've never done a square cake and never tiered a cake. The top tier smushed the bottom one and made it crooked. My daughter loved it and it was soooo yummy! WASC with hazelnut mousse and the top cake was cherry butter with cherry perserve filling. Got the idea from many other CCers.

Stacked a bunch of rounds and carved them instead of using wondermold. I was much happier doing it that way although next time I'm make the top part of her dress less full. Fondant and RI accents. TFL!

I found this kit on E-bay, and the castle itself is a double square cake with two loaf pan cakes adjacent on top. It was a lot of fun to make, but it broke my heart when we had to slice it.
