I loved this one! My niece is four now, so this was the first of three Princess birthdays in a row, and this one's still my favorite. Chocolate castle (heavy!), frosted in buttercream, royal flowers, and fondant banner.

10/6 white and b/c. Mother supplied me with polly pocket type dolls to put on the cake. These were perfect, light weight and the stiff dresses helped them stand up so well! The turrets are made from fondant supported by dowels and ice cream cones.

I was asked on friday to make a BD cake for the next day, I used edible images and made a choc. tiara...(broke 3 times). Simple sheet cake, with a six" top layer which was too big, should have went with a 4".

I made this cake for my daughter Lily's 4th birthday. She loves anything & everything Ariel, so I wanted it to be special. Everything is made of edible fondant except the edible pearls & the "seaweed" candles. Thanks to Debbie Brown's fairy tale cake book for mermaid body & octopus instructions, and to all of you & your wonderful cakes on this site which I love & absolutely consult every time I do a cake!

Buttercream with royal icing and color flow plaque. This was my first time doing a piece this large. I had a little bit of color bleeding on her face.

Thanks to Nana784 for the ideas. Your's was so much better than mine. I thought it wasn't too bad though since my decorating time got cut short by a trip to the ER (my hubby! but he's ok now) My daughter liked it anyways.

My customer wanted the "look" of the Disney Princess Castle that comes with plastic pieces, but with everything edible, instead. The dolls are still plastic. ;-)
11" x 15" sheet cake base. The castle is another 11" x 15" sheet cake split into four pieces and stacked. First covered in bc, then base is covered in brown fondant with cobblestone impression. The top castle piece is gumpaste, as well as the turrets with ice cream cones. They are covered in pink luster dust. The flags are rice paper. :-D

My first cake photo on CC! This was a combo birthday cake for my 4yo daughter and my final for Wilton III. My first tiered cake. I used CakeBoss's tutorial. Thanks, CakeBoss! I made all kinds of rookie mistakes, but loved how it turned out. My DD was thrilled!

Okay, so this is the cake I made for my little sister. A lot of things went wrong and I know I could have done better but by the time the 5th hour passed by, I gave up. I realized i don't need to be stressing about this because she's only 5! But I'm pretty proud of what I got done! And yes, I do realize that the princess' are bigger than the door! haha. Thanks for looking anyway!
