Made with the Wilton Double Tier pan and the mini doll pan for the volcano part. The cloud I made with Color Flow and attached it to a lollipop stick. The stick was a tad too long! The trees are pretzel sticks with tip 67 leaves.

the cake is 9x13 covered in bc then brown sugar. the dinosaurs body is 3D egg pan and the neck is rice crispy treat and part of the tail and then cover in MMF. my airbrush wouldn't work so I used a paint brush to apply the color, which I think worked better anyway. the caveman is fondant with a cut out picture for the face. the flat rock is fondant, the only thing not eddible is the small rocks.

My nephew wanted velociraptors--not just any old dinosaur. so I did some reasearch on the Jurassic Park website and came up with this. The tree trunks are jumbo marshmallows rolled in toasted coconut. His bday is around Easter, thus the dino eggs. He talked about this one for a long time.

First attempt at FBCT. I also used the paint roller/paper towel trick to smooth the icing - awesome! I was fighting high humidity and my roses wilted! The birthday girl loved it!

This was for my husband's grandfather's 85th birthday. He loved it! Dark chocolate cake covered in MMF. I tried to use licorice strings for the reins but they were just too heavy.

Closeup of Granddaddy riding the dinosaur cake I made for his 85th birthday. We had fun turning his hat backwards and sideways to make hip-hop granddaddy :) Figure was modeled from MMF. It dried for two days and should have dried for two more!

My son had a dinosaur birthday and wanted a triceratops cake, so this is what I came up with. Buttermilk Devils food cake with decorator's buttercream icing. Body and legs are cake, tail is rice krispie. Head armor, horns, beak and eyes are fondant . Toe nails are marcona almonds, and the rocks are chocolate rock candies my husband got in Alaska and really wanted me to use. The cavemen were a last minute addition and are my sons toys. I taped a wood skewer to one as if it were a spear. The cake is carved.

This was my inspiration cake that got me into cake decorating. My son wanted a dinosaur for his 3rd birthday and this is what I made after researching how to do it online. After this I took the Wilton courses and found a lot of easier ways to do what I did. But he loved it and thats all that mattered!

Big Thanks to sweets2eat for the inspiration for this cake. My son caught one glimpse of your 'Roaring Birthday' and have to have one. This is a doctored white cake mix filled with grandmas homemade jam and frosted in BC. The rocks are chocolates and dinosaurs are plastic toys. I wanted to try fondant but I was turned down, "So I can play with them mom." Gotta love kids, any way to sqeeze in one more present. Thanks for looking.

This 2 ft tall cake was inspired by krissy_kze. I hope I did it justice. The body is made out of rice krispy treats and the head is styrofoam. The rock is 10" round chocolate cakes with treats stuck under the fondant to give it an uneven look. Even with styrofoam head, this is the heaviest cake EVER!!! My DH has to deliver it with me so I don't drop it. ;-)

Hello everyone I did this cake with MMF for the second time and with your help I did it. I have to practice on making it smoother though. Everything you see is Fondant figures. I actually enjoyed doing this cake. I also did a little Trex just hatched on the side. Thanks for the views.
