This cake was inspired by a haunted house in Lenior City, TN called Dead Man's Farm. It is ALL edible...down to the evidence tag! :) Now who's hungry? hahaha!

Tie-dyed cupcakes decorated as Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead's lightening bolt. I cannot take credit for the design - client sent me a photo, I believe from someone in Florida.

I made these for a gathering last year. I surprised myself with how fast I could bake and decorate when absolutely necessary-- usually I'm slower than molasses! I'm sure I bookmarked the inspiration photo here on cake central, but it seems to have disappeared from my favorites (I'm assuming it was removed).

Autopsy cake with red velvet cake, MMF, white chocolate ribs, and MMF organs. Not as grotesque as some of the halloween cakes I have seen but I wanted people to eat it.

This was for a little boy who is turning 11 on Halloween. He wanted something gross, scary, creepy, weird, etc. etc. This is what I came up with. The bottom tier is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. The top tier is white cake with vanilla buttercream. The dirt is ground up oreos (the ones with the fudge filling). The fingers were cookies, I found the recipe on CC. The bugs, eyes, ears, and mouth were made from fondant. I used coconut flakes that I dyed brown for the eyebrows. The blood was piping gel tinted reddish brown. It was a hit! I'm just glad to get it out of my kitchen because it scared me more everytime I saw it!

I made this cake for a friends birthday. She was born on Nov. 2nd, otherwise known as the Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos. It's my first time posting a picture. It is made of Mexican Chocolate cake, 9" round and 8" square carved together. Covered in Fondant and hand painted with fondant decorations.

This cake was made for a Dia de los Muertos (day of the dead) celebration. The cake with strawberry cloud filling. The "applique" pieces - skulls, roses etc are royal icing that were piped into the desired shape then allowed to dry. They were then hand painted.

The design was 100% from the bride and groom....there are 3 other trees and two more owls that complete the bottom tier design...the monogram is the bride and grooms initial made to resemble the wax seal they used on their invitations....about 90% of the detail was done in royal icing....I was pretty pleased with how close I was able to replicate their sketch...they were thrilled with the outcome...

Birthday cake for a 12 year old girl obsessed with left 4 dead video game. Her favorite character is "hunter". She asked to have him in a graveyard scene. I added a figurine that looks like her. This one was a lot of fun. TFL!

Bride did not want anything traditional. Designed a cake around her day of the dead topper. The topper was too big in my opinion but she insisted on it.

Jeff Dunham's puppet Achmed the Dead Terrorist FBCT on an 8" square. Made the two candy melt plaques to try to hide the bulge the cherry filling made - I can never seem to get away from fruit fillings and oozing... TFL

I made this for a friend of mine who is a huge fan of the comic books and the TV show. The zombies are replicas of the original artwork from the book. The box was made to look like the hospital doors from the first episode. The box opened like double doors and had handles on it with a "chain" around the handles.
