These spcial cupcakes were made with love for the project Frosting for the Cause. They were made in honor of my friend's mother, who has been battling kidney cancer for more than 2 years. She manages to stay energetic and happy with the help of her close-knit family and her favorite hobby, ballroom dancing. Coconut cupcakes with coconut buttercream. Chocolate transfers with fondant accents. TFL

I made this cake for a friend who turned 60. They were having her Bday party at a bar and wanted drinks & dancing to be the theme. My music notes were originally supposed to be on wires, but didn't harden up in time so i just put them ON the cake instead. This was my 2nd ever shoe & I had some issues with that as well, but i was happy with the end result. Martini glass is a real glass, & I used a beaded bridal pick, but everything else is edible. Thanks for looking!

Customer designed this cake, for the most part....The stars, I added because I had to disguise the dowel supports behind the shoes, so I did it in silver stars and then added a few more around the cake for effect. Shoes are gumpaste.

This cake is three 8x3 round cakes and the Wilton ball pan for the top tier. I used Sugarshack's Buttercream and Fondx Fondant. The topper is made from gumpaste with the colors painted on the letters, then finished off with rainbow disco dust. I have small boys and never heard of the Disney show, "Shake It Up", before. It's a dancing and singing show. This is what I could come up with. This is the first time I tried carving my lower tier like an hourglass. It is something I will be practicing on in the future.. It's harder than I thought. Thanks for looking!

Well, this is as naughty as it gets for me. Made for In Shape Ladies Fitness (in Jacksonville, Florida), This is color flow in very dark purple (black is not an easy color to produce) I made four of these pole dancer silhouettes, as experience has taught me that some may crack during transfer (onto the cake) so it's best to have back up. I also tried one in molded chocolate, but with Florida humidity, it proves to be very tricky during the transfer process without cracking. This was the cake presented after the first Pole fitness dance recital at the center. Very popular workout, I'll stick to putting the moves on a cake surface rather than try them myself, thank you!

This Groom's cake was done for a Mexican groom that loved Salsa dancing. His bride requested his favorite cake: Peach Tres Leches. Thank goodness for the recipes here on CC! I had never heard of this, let alone made one! LOL The cake is frosted with my "Cheesecake Mousse" (cream cheese and whipped cream) and decorated with a Frozen Buttercream Transfer. Another first for me! Worked out ok. Sure wish I had known about this method YEARS ago! LOL Anyway, the Groom loved the cake!

Here in the Uk Strictly Come Dancing has just started again and my friend loves salsa dancing so I designed this birthday cake for her. It is a vanilla cake with coffee flavoured syrup and dark chocolate filling and dark chocolate ganache exterior.
The frills are made from fondant and I love them so much I think I will have to use them more. The topper is made with gumpaste coloured pink an dusted with sparkles.
The dancer silhouettes were located via google images. I cut them out of fondant with a knife.
