This cake has aged me ten years this week. Figures, flowers and pergola are gumpaste. Thanks to everyone who helped with hints on how to cover larger cakes in fondant. You really did help a lot! This is my first (and probably last LOL) wedding cake, thanks for looking :)

I made this little baby cake for my DH boss and his wife. Dh laughed and said it looked like a boob! After looking at the pics...it does look like a boob!! The half ball pan was the only small pan that I had!! Oh well!

This is a two tier stacked cake I made for a Bridal Shower the hostess at our church was sick of doing pink themes so she was thinking daisies and ladybugs. This is what I came up with. Thanks to folks on CC for the ideas for painting my puddles. And also doctoring my cake mix!! The owner of our local coffee shop/ bakery thought it was scratch!!! So fun to say well actually NO! :o Real ribbon bow and gumpaste daisies.

This was my first paid wedding cake. The groom who was an artist designed the cake and the colors. The cake came out beautiful until the drive when the 14" bottom round started jiggling around and the top slid about a 1/4 inch. I had to tip the cake in the other direction to try to straighten it out. I was such a stress ball! My hands were shaking soooooo bad it was hard to try to repair. I'll say it again...I HATE transporting cakes!

This is a square three tier cake. I had a problem with icing this cake, so please forgive any mistakes. Our air condition went out while I was working on the cake in June. The daisies, on the side or fondant and the top ones are live.

I was so inspired by the beautiful fondant green striped cake of Nati's that I had to try it in BC for a birthday cake due today. It turned out fabulous, thanks Nati! Thanks to the Melvira Method, it was smooth and perfect. I did learn a few things like next time, don't put the stripes too close together, so that when you smooth them out, they have room to spread. That's why there's a bit of a wave there on some of the stripes. This was 3, 6" lemon cake w/blueberry filling.

This was my first time using the Viva method for smoothing out the buttercream. I really was pleased with the results. 12" and 10" tiers, 3 layers each. Hand piped flower design.
Wilton Brown coloring and Wilton Winnie the Pooh coloring was used for the green from the Winnie the Pooh set.

These are sample cakes I threw together to have an idea of how long it will take and what they will look like. They are for a Fashion Show Fundraiser for my son's school. I'll be doing 300 of these if they are approved by committee. They are 4" mini tasty fill cakes with cheesecake mouse (pastry pride and jello pudding cheesecake flavor) filling. I was in a hurry and overbeat my icing so not as smooth as I would like.

This simple wedding cake that I did for a friend of mine turned out to be quite fun and she loved it. The base and flowers are all buttercream frosting. For the top spray, I dried them on wire to make a small bouquet.
