I have a couple of friends celebrating their anniversary today, so I wanted to make them a cake similar to (but not quite) a wedding cake. When they got married 3 years ago, they hated their cake! (Not made by me) She loves purple and daisies, so I wanted to incorporate the 2 without overdoing it. Feeback would be great!

I am not happy with this cake - I think I had an off weekend. It isn't centered correctly and it is lopsided for some reason (the customer liked it but I felt she got a sub par creation). It is the White Almond Sour Cream cake (so tasty by the way) with chocolate Bavarian Cream on top and raspberry & buttercream on the bottom layer. I really wish it had turned out better...

So again, I am having an off weekend - this cake had so many problems, you may not be able to tell but the raspberry is leaking out of the buttercream (I was in a hurry and didn't level it, I thought it was level enough - won't do that again). It also moved so much as I was frosting it, the torted layers were all over the place, I was surprised it didn't fall over - thank goodness it was just to take to my mom's house for dinner. Again it is White Almond Sour Cream cake with buttercream raspberry filling

I used BC with the faux fondant technique. Pan sizes are 14", 10", 6". The pearls and flowers are made from fondant.

I did this for my best friend's rehearsal dinner. She is getting married in a field on her parents sheep farm. The lamb is made from the wilton stand up lamb pan, fondant daisies, and the picket fence is popsicle sticks dipped in white chocolate.

Thanks to many who answered my forum topics about basketweave and daisies I finished my cake in class and was so happy with how it turned out! I loved the sewing guage idea and my daisies still gave me trouble, but I tried very hard to at least get them to all look the same. I appreciate this site so much. This IS Fun Fun!!!

This is my first 'for hire' cake! Customer wanted cake for her daughter to match napkin, without the red. Yellow cake with raspberry/bc filling, Buttercream icing, fondant accents. I hope she likes it!!

This is a 10 inch square and 8 inch round lemon cake with lemon mousse filling and bettercreme frosting. I wasn't really happy with the cake but the customer loved it and a guest asked her for my name for her upcoming wedding.

Done for a shower where the theme was "Saving my Horse, by Riding my Cowboy". I got the idea for the horse from someone here on the gallery. Sorry I don't remember who has posted, but THANK YOU! All is buttercream with the exception of the horse, daisies, blanket, hat and boots, they are all MMF.

DH White cake with strawberry filling. Made for my sister's co-worker's birthday.
I tried something different with this one. Strawberry filling was sandwiched between icing layers in the middle. Kept the filling from seeping into the cake.
I was told she tried to put off cutting it for as long as possible, cause she just didn't want to cut it. She even ran out to get a camera to get a pic before it was cut. :P

Just a simple white sheetcake with gumpaste daisies to dress it up. Pink buttercream with some white piping too. Sugar crystals sprinkled to add a litttle sparkle. Quick and fun!

I'd been agonizing over my roses not being perfect when I was trying to make them in the absence of anything else. And while they're nothing approaching professional, when they're on the cake, they don't look half bad!

Technically, this was for a baby shower, but my friend who hosted the shower didn't want baby stuff on it. She requested flowers, so this is what I came up with.

I sat down to decorate this cake and realized that ALL of my Americolors and most of my tips were at the cert. kitchen I've started using. (This cake is a gift from me to a friend so I'm not baking it at the kitchen.) Thank God for my airbrush and the 3 tips I found in the silverware drawer (#2, 5, &18) The dropstrings are far from professional looking, but they are better than I've done in quite a while, so I'm pretty happy! Thanks for looking!

Cupcakes with roses are french vanilla with raspberry BC filling. Those with daisies are double coconut with key lime BC filling. This is my first cupcake wedding and I have decided I LOVE doing these!

This is a practice cake I did to practice the stringwork. I made the birds nest out of gum paste and had nothing to use it for. The daisies are gumpaste also. Lemon Cream Cheese frosting, I love the VIVA paper towel trick, I am skeptical no more!

We are welcoming our new pastor and his family tonight with a cookout. This is a yellow cake with vanilla BC. Daisies are RI; my poor excuse of a basket is BC as are the leaves. My basketweave is horrid (was in a hurry and talking on the phone!!). It was fun. Thanks for looking.

This is a 10in strawberry cake from scratch, filled with strawberry pudding and decorated with strawberry buttercream. Strawberries, leaves & daisies are handmade from fondant and the little blue drop flowers and strawberry seeds are royal icing. Made for my friend Katy's birthday tomorrow.

I made this for my daughter Lindsey's second birthday (I can't believe she's two... *sniff*).

I used the directions posted by the talented "BKeith" and they were fantastic. Although I don't have his expertise, I was pleased with how it turned out.

I used rainbow and french vanilla cakes, with marshmallow fondant (thanks "Ntertaynme - Cheryl"!).

Thanks for looking!

I found this design on this site and I loved it! I was given free reign over this cake design, so here it is! It was for a wedding shower this weekend. I had a hard time finding gerber daisies, so I had to subsitute. Thanks for looking!
