Made for a co-worker's birthday. White cake with buttercream icing and fondant ribbon and daisies. Now that's it is done, I'm a little concerned my co-workers will think it is too simple.

This was for a girl who loves Gerber daisies, and she's also half Egyptian. She wears a necklace with her name in Arabic, which is on the top. The idea was to look like a floral dress, but I wasn't happy with the way the "pleats" came out. I think my MMF was too soft for the effect I was looking for. Also, by the time I took this picture after getting to work - the top layer had started to slide off! I shoved it back on, but it made the pleats look worse. Oh well. She still loved it!

This was my fondant cake for class. I just put the yellow bow on it. My mom has a daycare, and one of the parents asked what i was going to do with the cake becuase she needed a cake for someone at work. so i came home on my lunch break and threw some daisies and writing on the cake and sold it to her. i had the daisies pre-made, so putting it together was literally a "piece of cake"

My first ever wedding cake! It's made with dummies as I did it for class, but everything else is real.

All layers covered in pink tinted fondant, piped dots using royal icing, hand-painted dots with gold luster dust, daisies made with gumpaste. Plus I got to play with the airbrush by spraying luster dust on the fondant, too! FUN!

This cake was created for a couple that got hitched in a meadow, by a pond, on a ranch in the mountains. The bride carried daisies and her wedding dress had tiny stonewashed denim bows going down the back.

Cake Measures: 10", 8", 6", 4". It is covered in MMF, dusted with luster dust and decorated with MMF daisies and pockets. (A close-up of this cake can be found in the Western/Cowboy Gallery Album)

This is a close-up of the four-tiered wedding cake that I made for a bride and groom that got hitched in a meadow, by a pond, at a beautiful mountain ranch. The bride wore a lovely dress that had tiny denim bows going down the back and she carried a bouquet of daisies. You can see the full cake photo in the Wedding Cake Gallery - Round Cakes, section.

I made this cake for a baby shower. It was a lot of first for me. First time using MMF (pickets for the fence), first sugar cookies, first time using royal icing. It was a lot of fun to make and my friend loved it.

I know this doesn't look like a cake for a bridal shower, but the bride specifically requested a yellow cake with chocolate icing.

This is the first cake I ever really "decorated" so I used icing out of the can. The flowers are fondant and cut with varius sized cookie cutters. It matched her shower invitations which were light pink with hot pink, orange, and yellow daisies on them.

14 inch double layer dark chocolate mud cake with rich dark chocolate ganache centre. Huge and heavy. Design was to match invitation which was a very light avocado green with a pink and white gingham dress with little white daisies on it. We were asked to incorporate all of these aspects. The dress is an elarged version of of the dress on the invite. Thanks for looking. all feedback and suggestions welcomed

Baby carriage from Wilton level 2 class book. Buttercream with royal icing daisies (cake sparkles in the centers) and color flow face. The book has it in blue but the baby was a girl, and I figured with a pink background the little face wouldn't show as well. Also, this picture is not very good, for some reason it has a "yellow" tint, but the cake was more pastel-like, not neon-like :-)

Made for my grandmother's best friend. They belong to a ladies group called PEO and their flower is the daisy. I had just loaded up at Hobby Lobby with my 50% off coupon so I wanted to try out a bunch of my new fondant tools.

Yellow cake with Creme Brulee creamer in place of milk. Filled with apple pie filling and covered in buttercream, for my sisters baby shower. It was so good, everyone loved it! Reminded me of caramel apples.

My basketweave could have been better. I am a bit out of practice, but I learned that I need to make my vertical lines closer together next time. This was my first time working with real flowers and I enjoyed it. Much easier than spending an hour icing my own. Thanks to KHalstead and everyone else who gave me tips on putting real flowers on a cake: I put a piece of wax paper on the top of cake and "glued" the flowers on the wax paper with icing.

This is a chocolate cake with caramel filling and butter cream dream icing. I loved the texture of the icing but it does NOT crust very well, so Viva method was out:( Flowers are RI, rest buttercream. I received a Lot of help from various CCers-from baking to decorating. Thank you all! I guess since I am still new to decorating, I get carried away with decorating the cake and I need to still get to the point where you know when to stop!!!!

Hot pink is MMF. I made curlies, daisies and bow loops with Wilton pastel fondant pack about 3 days before so they could dry good. Make sure to tent your icing the same color as the bow so when you put it together and its pink you're not using white icing to "glue" cause then it'll show. Just start sticking curlies all over to cover up mistakes. Put daisies on the sides to cover mistakes too. Squirt a dot of pink BC for the centers. Then I rolled out MMF for the braided border. Not to hard.
