Made this simple little cake for some elderly friends of ours who are having a tough time right now. Thought this might cheer them up. It's a 9x13 cut in half and stacked.

My first 2 tier stacked square cakes with fondant, diamond quilting and daisies. This was for my niece whose color for the wedding is orange. White cake with strawberry mouse filling. Everyone loved the cake! What a relief!

I used Whipped Cream Buttercream for everything except that I bought pre-made sugar ladybugs. Devil's Food DH mix for the cakes.

For my friend's wedding rehearsal dinner...she wasn't having cake at her wedding (did homemade pies instead), so I made her a wedding cake for her rehearsal dinner. Unfortunately, due to weather and lack of communication...it didn't get used or eaten! Oh well...how it goes some times. Still pleased with how it turned out regardless. Plus the bride never got to see it either.

This was suppose to be just my parents anniversary cake but with living so far away and gas being expensive it had to serve two purposes! It's a take on the cake in the 2006 wilton book. White cake with black cherry perserve filling, BC frosting, fondant flowers. First time working with fondant and basically my first cake!!! How do I get crisp edges on the side though, that was hard!

inspired by a candle. I was going to do something totally different then I saw a candle and thought it would make a nice cake design.

This was my second wedding cake. Top tier is chocolate, bottom tier is white. All iced with buttercream frosting & all buttercream flowers (roses & daisies). The caterer from this reception approached me & asked for a business card!! Big deal for me who only works out of my home & had only done cakes for friends & family!! Idea came from a Wilton Yearbook.

These were made for a wedding cake, for a friend's daughter. I am not very good with fondant, but I am getting more adventurous with it. The centers are made out of fondant that I colored yellow, and rolled in yellow sanding sugar (like used on cookies). I just love these! The cake will be all buttercream with the fondant daisies, I will post pictures when completed. (The wedding is 8.12.06)

This cake was inspired by a Debbie Brown book. All decorations are made of MMF with the exception of the brown sugar dirt. It won First Place (Blue Ribbon) at the Plumas County Fair, California - Fair Theme Cake Class. Yippee!!!

I made this for my daughter's 4th birthday, it matched the Tea Party theme available at Birthday Express. The teacup on the top is a plastic one (came in the Birthday Express favor boxes) and I used fresh daisies.

This is my first heart shaped wedding cake, and it was not as difficult to ice as I feared it might be! It is for a very small wedding...the top tier is a 4", the middle a 6", and the bottom layer is only an 8" heart. The daisies are fondant, my first attempt at these flowers in fondant. I love this cake!

This 9" Pink Champagne cake was covered with white butercream. The heart of daisies in the center is edged with white pearls. The daisies were cut from tinted gumpaste, dusted with luster dusts and steamed. Daisies were the bride and groom's favorite flower.

I made this cake for a girl that works at my Dh's restaurant. I really wanted to add more.....you know....that extra little something......but Dh wanted it to stay as it was.

I made this cake for a 12 year old girl's birthday. She wanted "funky" flowers and polka dots. The dots are color flow and the daisies are royal. Iced in buttercream.

My first real wedding cake... I made this for my sister's wedding last month. It did not turn out as well as I would have liked. Two tiers were french vanilla cake with key lime filling, the other two were chocolate cake (my grandma's black forest recipe) with chocolate buttercream icing for filling. I iced the cake in dream whip and decorated it with live flowers.

This is a half-sheet dark chocolate fudge cake with cream cheese icing. All she specified was the "I love you!" and pretty...I had already told her I had three other cakes to do that day, so I would be using flowers from another project, she said "Ok!" It is pale yellow cornelli lace on same color icing with reverse shell top border and regular shell border.

Birthday cake with gumpaste daisies and bees. Violets are royal icing. Secured wires through straws so they wouldn't come into contact with the cake. I had alot of fun with this one!

I had fun doing this cake. It has daisies made from royal icing and the dots are actually candy dots that peel right off the paper. It is a white cake with buttercream frosting.

This was for a woman who turned 71 and is still working!!! She didn't know I was making her a cake, so she was very surprised! My husband suggested the white daisies, and I later found out that the white daisies are her favorite flower.

my moms bday cake(all those posts about lilacs/ other flower questions- couldnt learn to make flowers w/out tips tho so got real ones). Cake is blackberry pound- BC icing looks like shite cause I thought it'd be a good idea to use the juice from the fresh blackberries to help tint it (roll eyes here)-so it refused to smoothe for me- tasted great and flowers were nice enough to cover a lot of it lol-got idea for flowers in hole from here or s/where else online on wedding cake.
