Cupcake birthday cake made for my nieces 4th birthday....she requested the cake be chocolate with pink and butterflies lol so this is what I came up with...top cake covered with fondant with fondant stars and purchased butterflies put onto wires.

Cherry Chip cupcakes, with experimental Cream cheese Butter Cream frosting flavored with Cherry Oil. Was trying out the cupcakes flavor, frosting flavor, and swirl pattern which I still can't get right. Overall, kids loved them and dog snuck two!

I'm on a gingham thing at the moment. This was actually my husbands idea. It is printed rice paper. I did this as a practice, but would probably use kopykake tops next time as the rice paper starts to curl after a while.

NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT PUT FONDANT ON TOP OF POURED GANACHE~ IT MELTS!!! These cupcakes were made for the girls in my sons class for his birthday. The boys got dinosaurs. The flowers were made using the tinkertech two petunia cutters and 5 petal blossom veiner. Thanks for looking!

I wanted to make a cupcake bouquet for one of my managers at work, but got lazy. So I made her this and made a batch of cupcakes just to take into work. Just a chocolate malt cuppie with a painted terra cotta pot and bow. BC frosting.

Inspired by other giant cupcakes from this site. Used William Sanoma giant cupcake pan. Top is covered in fondant, the side is folded parchment paper. The mini cupcakes are chocolate dipped in melted almond bark with a fondant flower.

Someone called and ordered a dozen cupcakes and a card for a friend who just moved to the area. I thought it was great that they chose cupcakes to send instead of flowers. This is just how I packaged it.

Top left- lemon cake with coconut filling and cream cheese icing, topped w/ shredded coconut. Top right - Lemon cake with bettercreme icing...sprinkled yellow on it so I'd remember it was lemon and not yellow cake! Bottom left - My take on the hostess cupcakes - bride said they tasted just like them Bottom right - Yellow cake with pink buttercream icing..I loved making those look kinda like flowers!!

These were in addition to the castle cake and were a perfect distraction while we were cutting the real thing (hard to keep little ones waiting!) Pink buttercream, royal tiara icing with rhinestones, and a candle for each princess. I really liked how this idea turned out in that each little princess got to participate in making a wish (something EVERY kid likes to do... blow out their own candle!) Made for a nice event and good memories. Confetti cake and tin foil liners. Porcelain Cinderella baby.
