12" bottom tier - lemon cake with lemon filling. 10" middle white cake with apricot buttercream filling. 8" top strawberry cake with raspberry preserve filling. This was my first time stacking something so large so I made it for practice. It stood all night and I carried it around a bit to make sure it wouldn't fall apart! Also, first time making lace look.

Anniversary cake for my Aunt and Uncle. The bottom layer was chocolate and the top was yellow. BC icing with ribbon on bottom. The "lace" on top was made using G,D, and S...their initials. I also hid the written anniversary date and their names in the detail. See second picture for close up and highlights. Thanks for looking!

Just a quick birthday cake for a friend. I tried the upside down technique for the first time. The edges turned out very crisp, but the top of the cake wasn't smooth...a very thin layer peeled away on the parchment paper. Walnut cake with mocha buttercream.

Wanted to try out my cornelli lace since I hadn't done it for a while... I like the way that part turned out, but don't like the center part.

This is a strawberry 8", with white BC on the top and pink on the sides. First time I've tried cornelli, should have used a 1 or 2 instead of a 3 tip. I think it turned out pretty good, and the 2 different colors was not that hard. Thanks for looking.

This cake was for a woman that was taking a year off from work, volunteering(sp?). So her coworkers wanted to tell her to take care of her and that they love her. I had some fondant roses already made, so I painted a little pearl dust over them to make them shiny and pretty, and I had some plastic leaves also.

Almond sour cream (from this site) and raspberry buttercream filling. Icing is Sugarshack's recipe. This was my first try at Cornelli lace - and I kind of liked the effect. I may use it more now. Roses are white chocolate. First, I tried the cupcake booties - but they seemed too large and bulky for this particular cake - so I ate them - and made the fondant ones.

Here is a cake I did for my SIL. She's a pastry chef in NYC so I was under a little pressure on this one. I'm very happy with how it came out and everyone loved it - they had never seen one like this before. I must thank Cakeconfections and Tripletmom for their help and inspiration for this cake. You guys are the best!

I did this cake for my fathers birthday. I wanted to get practice using cornelli lace. Men are hard to do cakes for ,but I think this cake is pretty, but masculine at the same time.

This one was REALLY fun after the disasterous Snare Drum I did yesterday (until 3:30am today). It's scratch white cake with all buttercream. I borrowed the idea from Cinico...thanks to you for the inspiration!

This is a half chocolate/half white sheet cake for a bridal shower. The main part is FBCT (which gave me trouble when I tried to smooth it and found it hadn't crusted enough....grrrrrr). I don't have much experience with cornelli lace, but I gave it a shot. This cake design was inspired by one on CC by a member named Evita (Thanks Evita!).
