Tiered 16 x 12 and 13 x 9 fudge marble cakes w/BTC icing, fondant pillbox hat and gloves. This cake was for my Grandmother's 95th bday party. Those that know her know she never leaves the house without her hat an gloves on! First attempt at cornelli lace, molding fondant and such a large cake! Special thanks to KimAZ for the help with the gloves!!

This was for an employee who is my subordinate. She has spent a lot of time growing with our company and it was her birthday today. The top of the cake was simple but I was happy with the way it all came out in the end. "Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday dear Genevra..." The sides are cornelli lace, still learning that process but I thought it turned out cute. Vanilla with Ganache center and Cream Cheese frosting.

This was for a local competition where we had 45 minutes to decorate a fondant covered cake. The hard part was doing it while lots of people walked around and watched. Including the judges. It was fun, though and I got 2nd place.

Sour Cream Lemon Cake filled with lemon curd and layered in white chocolate ganache covered with MMF. This is the very first time I've ever tried Cornelli lace and, unbelievably, I'm happy with the way it turned out! (Yay for me!)

I wanted to do something more, kind of show off my talents, or at least my improvement. LOL But, I made 4 cakes and 65 decorated cookies to take with us out of state for the Holiday. I'm not fast enough so, I made 2 of these and 2 basket weave cakes. Although not perfect, I 'm happy and everyone else was impressed. Maybe next Easter, with another year of practice, I can really WOW them. :-) Chocolate cake, raspberry bc filling, bc icing and roses. I love cornelli lace - hides imperfection!

This husband wanted a cake that was a combo "just pretty" and "over-the-hill". It is buttercream with fondant cut outs and scroll with sugarpaste flowers.

Red velvet covered in butter cream with an edible image. A practice cake for a cake my hubby volunteered me for. Thanks to Cakemommy (a fellow military wife) whose cakes I have been studying for ideas. Oh and although I love the way cornelli lace looks I curse the person who invented it, UGH!!!

This is a white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. The top is cornelli lace and the border and sides are supposed to be rosettes. I need to practice those, first time using either techiques. Had fun trying though.

I made this to go along with the Wonder Woman cake I did... as she was turning 5.
I used a bunt pan and two mini loaf pans to make the number. The part I cut out of the Bunt I used for the corner to join up the mini loaves it worked out nicely!
Doing the Cornelli Lace was difficult on the insides, but well worth it.

Did this one for easter 2007. Used the retired large 3D egg pan from wilton and then the next to smallest 3D egg pan (think it is retired also) All iced in buttercream. All are one half chocoalte, one half white. The middle one is filled with Bavarian Cream.

I know this wasn't done for a bridal shower, but I think it would be really pretty for one. I did this cake in about 4 1/2 hours for easter b/c we found out the night before at about 7pm what time easter was. Long story short ended up not going to easter and took it to work the next day. Got rave reviews on ti too! 6" cake white cake with raspberry filling. Buttercream icing

This was the wedding cake that I made in my final cake class. It is iced in all buttercream and the daisies are royal icing. I also used the cornelli lace technique. I need to practice making my cornelli lace a little smaller and closer together.
