I was asked to do this cake for the 1yr old.Let me tell you, this cake was sooooo much work.Holly Cow.And it weighed a ton.On the way to the recipients place the cookie monster had disagreement with Elmo and cracked his head while they were left unatended in the trunk of my car.But other than that Elmo seem to recover pretty quickly.

This is a fun cake. I did it for my son's 2nd birthday. It is a 14" round cake. The fun thing is that it could work in ANY size. I also did the SAME cake for my son's preschool graduation party, only cookie monster had a mortorboard hat with a tassle on.

I made this cake for my niece's first birthday based on the invitations. The characters are a frozen buttercream transfer and I then went over them again with different tips for a 3D effect. The top layer of the cake itself turned out to be a disaster. The entire layer crumbled when I put it on the bottom layer. It was late and (luckily) just for my sister so I managed to cram all of the cake pieces together and carefully iced the top so you couldn't tell once it was iced and complete. It looked fine!

Figures were made from gumpaste (started with rice crispy treats the covered). This was my first attempt at figures....wasn't real happy with zoey but I guess practice makes perfect next time.

Cookie Monster accompanied the Elmo cake.....Cookie is that oh so special cake that we give our kids
for them to have all to themselves to smash, eat or throw.....I made him out of a 6inch cake, double layer
- then I carved him to appear as though he was a oversized cupcake, I piped the icing up the side using a
 #8 tip.......ENJOY Natalie!!!

Mainly buttercream (some fondant on the Count). Used quite a few candies.... Jordan almonds (Bert's nose), gumballs (Grover's eyes), M&Ms (some of the eyes), and peanut M&Ms (Ernie's nose). Big Bird's beak = candy melts. Many of the mouths are half-Oreos.

I did this for my brothers friend's nephew. He is two today and wanted an elmo cake. I decided to go with the figurines because he wanted a toy on his cake. This is the 1st time I have used figurines on a cake. I really liked the way the colors went perfectly with them. I had so much fun making this cake and it turned out a LOT better than I had hoped. Thanks for looking and comments are always appreciated!! :)

These were for my DD's second birthday. I saw these on the internet so I figured I'd try them. They are BC frosted, dipped in blue and red sprinkles. The elmo ones have BC eyes with mini chocolate chips, orange peanut m&m's for the nose, and an oreo mouth. The cookie monster ones also have BC eyes with mini choc. chips and an oreo mouth. My kids loved these.
