If you like this cake, you must go see the original found here http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1273200. MAJOR thanks to CakesByLJ for her enthusiasm and assistance! The cake is iced in BC and then covered in fondant. Knuffle Bunny has an internal armature of tinfoil to lighten his weight; he and the other decorations are gumpaste. Let's not forget to thank stellastarchild for the awesome sneaker template too!

This one is for my cousins baby girl getting baptised this weekend. I got totally free hands and I just HAD to try out the baby Converse sneakers. And I just love them, to be honest :). So tiny and cute and easy to make. The whole cake came out just the way I wanted it. It's about 50-55 servings.

3 cakes for little Charlies baptism. The request was white, brown and ´different shades of blue, baby converse, train, baby blocks, flowers and butterflies- quite a challenge and I struggled to make it come together. Not my best work but hopefully they tasted really good, filled with raspberries, Daim and white chocolate. TFL!

Ok the Brides color is pink and the guys are wearing converse, hence the pink converse shoe on the dance floor. This was my first time for something like this . Next time I know what not to do to the flap on the front toe. It needed to be bigger and tucked in. I got the pattern from Laura Grater here on CC and shrunk it down. I didn't realize I had to compinsate for the size. Hers was a high top and I needed a low top and when I shrunk it down 70% I got a low top. Didn't know that was going to happen , but it worked out good. Fondant shoe and dance floor , the rest was buttercream. They loved it!!

I made these for a client who already had a cake but had seen a pair of these I did for someone else and wanted them for a keepsake. I didn't cut into the top at a slope like the real shoe but I'll know for next time. The client didn't notice and liked them anyway...( Inspired by the pair by stellarstarchild) TFL

Short notice on this one! Was in the middle of working on a Make-up themed cake when I was asked to do a baby shower cake in 2 days. I'm new and slooow so didn't do everything I wanted to do. Wished I could have put a "Welcome Baby" sign or something. Oh well. Also had some fondant problems :-(. Thank goodness for boarders! Lots of firsts for me here. First figures...baby (which kinda looks like an old man lol) first teddy bear...first baby shoes (thanks for the template stellastarchild!).

This was for a baby shower with the theme, "Disney Meets the Yankees." The mother is a huge Disney fan and the father a huge Yankees fan. This is a two tier cake covered in fondant. The Mickey Mouse on top is a figurine I bought online. I made the baseball jerseys from fondant and painted them by hand. The baby converse sneakers were made from a template found here on Cake Central, they're gumpaste/fondant. I bought a scrap booking puncher to make the Mickey Mouse silhouette on the bottom tier. This was a really fun cake to make and the parents-to-be loved the personal detail.

This is my first pair of converse baby shoes - well, actually the first shoes I've ever made and I am so excited about how they turned out I decided to post a picture (first time). Thanks so much to everyone on this amazing site, for their ideas, tips, and of course the template!

I did this cake while visiting my parents. Any time I do a cake somewhere other than home, I have issues with smoothing, stacking, etc. I wasn't happy with the execution of the cake but everyone loved it. Also, this pic is taken from a terrible angle (I think my sister was trying to be "artsy") so it looks like it is leaning.

White cake, strawberry filling, fondant dots, gumpaste bow and shoes.

The client gave me a photo of another cake she wanted me to recreate as well as several streamers being used at the shower for color-matching. The cute little Converse sneakers were made using stellastarchild's template on CC. The balls are RKT iced with royal icing and covered with fondant.

(first time uploading) This didn't turn out as well as i hoped... a cake for my cousin's baby boy. I used the converse template from here - but the gumpaste dried quicker than i could mold, but my cousin said the shoes looked worn so it was all good. TFL
