This cake was created for a girl's birthday who only wanted a pair of pink converse shoe's as a gift. The mom found a cake pic on the internet and asked if I would recreate it (original is better). All carved cake covered in MF. Tissue paper, shoe strings etc. all MF. Lettering is royal icing. This girl was thrilled about the cake which made my day:) TFL

My try at stellastarchild's adorable Converse baby sneaker template. It was so easy to do, although I had a heck of a time getting the mold to work, so the shoes are not really the shape they are supposed to be as seen in far nicer versions on CC. Anyway this is an 8" round cake covered in IMBC and then fondant, with fondant and gumpaste stars. The cake was "OK" til I added the dragees. Dragees rock! Idea to use a simple star design came from JennerRed01.

Made for a friend's baby shower. 11 x 15 sheet cake with vanilla BC and fondant accents and fondant converse baby shoes. This is my second time making the baby shoes with stellastarchild's template. TFL!

These are gumpaste shoes using stellastarchild's template. I made them from gumpaste but next time I may try to make them with 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. I need to work on the strip at the bottom. Next time I will try and use a skinner marker for that.

Wow it's been a while since I've posted any cake pictures. That's what happens when you get an iMac and you're trying to figure out how to use it... This is my first time making the baby converse shoes. I think they turned out pretty good and I love that they can also be kept as a souvenir. I have a feeling that I'm gonna be making a few more of these shoes in the near future.

Yet another pair of baby converse shoes. Definitely easier the second time around although I did have to make a whole new mold. Also a lot easier when you buy gumpaste instead of making it yourself. Vanilla cake with dulce de leche buttercream and banana cake with Belgian white chocolate buttercream.

Simple cake covered in MMF with MMF ribbon. "Oh Boy!" written in royal icing. The little shoes are made with 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. Big thanks again to stellastarchild for her instructions on making them!! TFL!!

Triple layer cookies & cream cake with crushed oreo filling. I made Whimsical Bakehouse buttercream and it set the flavor of the oreos through the roof! Personalized fondant Converse with baby's name and Saints emblem, chocolate plaque & rattle. TFL!

This cake was for 2 girls that turned 16.. They wanted 2 Converse shoes.. this is what I came up with. The shoes are actual size 7 in womens.. Did matching cupcakes.

Surprise birthday cake for a youngman who loves skinny jeans and Chuck Taylors. Marble cake covered with buttercream and fondant. Converse made using chocolate mold and covered with gumpaste.

Choc cake, cookies-n-cream filling, bc icing, MMF decorations. The Converse were gumpaste and my first try. I used the instructions found here (thank you!) but actually did them without building a shoe model. Just cut the pieces and assembled. TFL!

Thanks to CakeDesigns and Cupcake Envy for the ideas. White cake w/pineapple filling, Chocolate cake w/whipped chocolate ganache filling, and yellow cake w/strawberry filling. Fondant covered and fondant and gumpaste accents.

This is for a little girl who turns 11. She requested a yellow "low top" converse shoe cake. The shoe is all Marshmallow Fondant. The square cake is covered with buttercream.

Inspired by other cc'ers i used the template for baby converse shoes and adapted the client's nursery colours. WASC with white chocolate mousse filling and raspberry buttercream covered in chocolate fondant.

This is my version of all the wonderful cakes I saw in CC! Thanks a bunch Fellow Bakers! Cake is a 10 inch square, 4 inches high covered in MMF. Accents are MMF, Color Flow, and Buttercream Icing! Converse are from the template on CC. Thanks for looking

This cake was for my son who turned 21, he has and loves these sneakers and he loved the cake. Chocolate mud cake with chocolate ganache and all fondant decorations.
