this is the first cake i had ever made for my bf who loves to play his xbox 360.for a guide i had to sneak his controller to my grandmas house.lol it was crazy because he noticed as soon as he came home something was up because i left the computer open to a cake recipe and his xbox controller was missing haha but in the end he was so impressed he didnt eat if for days so he cold show all his friends =)

Playstation 3 made for my son's 10th birthday. Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream covered in fondant. Controller is krispie treat covered in fondant.

This is my first totally fondant cake. Xbox machine is Swiss chocolate cake made from a 13x9 pan and the controller carved from a 6 inch cake. Vanilla buttercream underneath fondant. I have to give credit to my son for helping me make some of the buttons and showing me where everything was to be placed on the controller. (He's the expert advisor. Lol) This cake is for my sons best friend, Patrick for a just for fun surprise! Poor kid, he always comes over when I'm making a cake and tells me it all smells so yummy and looks so epic, (lol) Patrick's words not mine. So, I decided to just make a surprise cake for him. He was totally speechless when he saw the cake. But, he loved it. The games on top are laminated pics. Halo 1-3 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Thanks for the inspiration from cake central members Lola78 and Tguess3494! I loved your xbox cakes!

Xbox is RKT covered with white chocolate to make it stable, then fondant to make it smooth. The controller was cake covered in fondant with all fondant buttons. Learned a few things from this cake. Like I should have put 4 dowels in the cake for balance instead of the 3 I used. And that I should carve after the chocolate dries instead of carving & then adding the chocolate. Also learned that fondant can be forgiving but not to depend on it to create a miracle. LOL! Over all, my client was really happy with it. So if she was, so am I! TFL!

Client requested and X-Box for her sons birthday, I had never seen an X-Box before, had to look up pictures on the internet. This is what I came up with. Carved WASC covered in MMF.

Exactly 2 years ago today I began my cake journey. Nothing could have prepared me for what my "hobby" would turn into. I am so blessed to have discovered this talent. Grandson wanted cupcakes . This is 24 trying to shape like the controller. The button are fondant cut outs the gray ones are ritz crackers with icing in the middle and a dab of icing on top in the center to make the indention . when covered with fondant. 3D carved cake in the shape of an xbox controller. i had 2days notice to design and make this. the silver effect is done by using a silver luster spray. all buttons ect are fondant. TFL

A 3D Thomas cake for my nephew Christopher. Originally a 12" square marble cake which I ganached together and then carved out to the shape of Thomas. This was certainly a bigger challenge than I anticipated, but overall I am happy with how it turned out. Thank you to CC'ers for the inspiration and Bluehue for answering my many questions along the way...TFL.
