This is the first wedding cake I've ever made & also the largest cake I've made. It was for my sister's Dec. wedding. I made 6, 8, 10 & 12" squares, 3 layers each. The 6" was a marble cake for the bride & groom to keep, the 8 & 10" were chocolate and the bottom 12" cake was yellow. They were all filled and frosted w/vanilla bc I colored ivory (to match the bride's dress). I made the pine cones out of MMF and added some shimmery sprinkles for a snowy look. I also used fresh pine around the pine cones and the base of the cake. I put pine cones on the top, just for a cute look (the day before the wedding) until my mother was able to make the fresh rose & pine cake topper my sister requested. This cake was more work than I realized, but it was worth it for my sister. :) Thanks for looking!

Ice cream cones atop mounds of cake covered in fondant. The melting and dripping "ice cream" is fondant. I have cute pictures of my kids licking their "ice cream cones" This was a fun cake for my daughter's 8th birthday.

My first square cake. Honestly it was much harder to make than a round cake, but I loved how smoothly the fondant went on. I made it for my cousins wedding. She loved it and it fit in perfectly with the rest of her decor. Top tier is chocolate with bc filing, middle tier is vanilla with strawberry filing, bottom tier is rc. When they ordered it they said they were only going to cut into the middle tier and save the top for their anniversary, but they started cutting it at the reception and everyone wanted a taste, the whole thing was cut up and served including the rice crispie. :)

Boy, did this give me more trouble than I expected. Everything was going perfectly until I started layering the bc on top of the cone and due to the heaviness, the top part of the cone started collapsing. I had to scrape off the bc, remove the top tier, refondant it and decided to use styrofoam for the shape of the ice cream, then cover that with bc. Worked out MUCH better! Four 6" rounds and three 8" rounds make up the cone. Covered in fondant and airbrushed. :-)

This was for a 16 year old's birthday party at a go-kart race track . 13" oval, 9" round, two 6" rounds carved in a spiral. WASC iced in buttercream with fondant accents. I really want to try this one again with fondant...my bc smoothing skills are not all that great.

Vanilla cake, chocolate butter cream - secret: there is a mini cupcake, upside down, on top of the cupcake inside the ice cream cone. That way there's not an overwhelming amount if butter cream. PLUS it helps a little frosting go a long way.

I used two half ball molds for the scoops, and iced with whipped icing. For the cone I covered with fondant. Would have been better if I could have made the waffle pattern, but this is a beginner cake with beginner supplies.

I used wafer cup cones to make cupcakes. I filled the batter into the cup cones and baked them in the oven as you baked the cupcakes. Frosted with buttercream and sprinkled mini chocolates and top with candy butterfly.....I make these for the kids at my daughters birthday party.....It is a BIG hit! Kids love them....
