This was my second fondant cake & my first cake made for a customer!
She wanted a Father's Day cake that made note of his love of computers
and his kids. It was a lot of fun to make! The mouse was designed as a
comical part of the cake....a real mouse sleeping holding his cheese instead
of a "computer mouse".

I made this cake for my best friend's boyfriend. He likes is Mac computer's,so I decided to make a replica of his Mini Mac. He did request cherry chip cake,as it was his favourite as a child and that's what it is with buttercream and fondant details. I covered a real cd with a personalized printed label. Enjoy!

My love, Marius's birthday cake! It turned out exactly how I wished and more!! Marius loves to use fruityloops to make his own beats and music, so I thought this screen-style would be appropriate! It was so cool! The screen is fondante-covered rice crispie squares as well as the keyboard and mose. Speakers are Cake and the crappy hard-drive that I made purely for extra cake, is also cake lol. (That's why it sucks compared to the rest of it lol) It tasted lovely, too. Happy 22nd Birthday Marius!

This whole thing was total inspiration from this site. Vanilla cake infused with vanilla syrup. MMF everything! The screen is 2 cakeboards covered in MMF. My kids print-screened one of their on-line games that the birthday boy plays and my husband doctored it a bit in photoshop! It was a family project! :)

The cake was quite little (just 6) so I just put the Tux figurine and a little cake computer mouse. It was quite fun to make this cake. TFL.

This cake was done for a guy that's into computers. They wanted a round cake. so this was the only design I could come up with. The inside is regular vanilla with buttercream icing. The mouse is a trimmed piece of cake and the other decorations were formed from MMF.

I made this for my BF and his associates. The numbers underneath the group's logo is computer code for "Have some cake". I should have finished the Matrix-y design around the side, but it was late, I was tired, and as soon as I started it, I thought: "Really?! ALL the way around?! Pffff."
Chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. TFL.

This is a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. Computer body and keys are made with fondant. I used a cardboard piece covered with fondant for the screen. I attached it with L brackets (pretty large ones). It seemed very secure. My husband works for a computer company so I tried to duplicate it but by the time I did the intel logos I just made something that was similar instead of painting them.

This was for a groom's cake served during the rehearsal dinner picnic. The checkered pattern was for the picnic, the ball represented his love of basketball, and the computer monitor had an edible image of the type of work he was focusing on in college.

A computer cake for a going away party. They keyboard is all cake covered in fondant, and the keys are fondant I let dry and then hand painted. The mouse is RKT, wires are rolled fondant. The stand for the monitor is RKT, as well as the bottom portion of the actual monitor. Top half of the monitor is cake. this was my first time trying a big cake like this. The monitor settled a little overnight as you can see, but it was still a big hit :)

All BC. This birthday cake was done for a "little" boy that I've been making cakes for for about 4 years. Every year prior to this he'd want a different kind of car for his BD cake--we'd exchange pictures of his favorite car that year, I'd do my best to make it look just like the picture--this year, I guess he's growing up because he just got a mac and wanted a cake to commemorate that instead of the usual car!

I made this cake for my Dad (same night I made the Chef Jacket). My husband and fathers B-days are 5 days apart. My father lives to work on his computer, so it was only fitting I made his ckae a keyboard. I took a keyboard and copied it on the copy machine so I could scale the cake and all the keys. I cut each key out and after drying, "wrote" on each key leaving the center for his HBDAY. This was from all of us, but Grandpa sounded more appropriate :-) Tedious but fun...

This was a quarter sheet cake covered in buttercream with fondant earphones and touch pad. I used white chocolate clay for the screen. I was inspired by another picture from CC. Thanks for the idea. It was definately what I was looking for. TFL.
