The layers are 9'' and 6'' strawberry cake with buttercream icing covered in colorful fondant. The flowers and stars are gumpaste. The colors were a little brighter than I had planned, but I was happy with how it turned out.

I saw this cake on Ace of Cakes (in the background of some of the new episodes) and fell in love with it. I didn't really know what gallery to put it under since I feel like it can be used for a birthday, shower, wedding, etc. If this weren't a cake dummy, I would have used white icing to hold the flowers on, but I was trying to get rid of some leftovers.

This was the last of 4 cakes ordered for the same event. chocolate cake with vanilla almond BC covered in fondant. The candles are the numeral candles from the grocery store covered with fondant. The flames are also fondant. This was by far the simplest (and easiest) of the 4 orders. I am a CSM and as always, Thanks for looking!

I did cupcakes for my God daughter's party and 2 little mini cakes. One was for her bday lunch with her best friend and the other was her party cake to go with the cupcakes. She wanted an "ice cream cone cake" so I did this as well as ice cream cone cupcakes. TFL!

My girls have picked up some of my cake decorating techniques and decided to take my extra icing and make me a birthday cake in all my rainbow colors I had leftover from another cake the day before, not to bad for only their 2nd or 3rd cake on their own. My girls are 13 yrs and 18yrs old.

I made this cake for a charity auction for the school I teach at. It is chocolate WASC with peanut butter filling and is covered with MMF. The bow is gumpaste. It was a lot of fun to make and I learned a lot. Thank you to the others who made cakes like this for their inspiration!

I decorated my first dummy cake! Don't look too close because I covered the dummy in plastic wrap first (as advised by someone!!!) and so the fondant is really wrinklely!

This is a cake I made for a friends monthly office birthday party. I used my new paisley pans (small and medium). The cake is double chocolate with peanut butter mousse with mini chocolate chip filling. The white fondant is SI and all the colored fondant was the first batch of MFF that I had made. I had purchased the ribbon and designed the cake to match the ribbon. I was happy with out it turned out and everyone at the office loved it. They only wished they had some milk to go with it!

I made this topsy turvy for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She doesn't really have any interests yet but she has a favorite outfit that's really colorful with flowers all over so I used that as inspiration for this cake. Tons of fun to make!

I'm turning into the source for B-day cakes at work! :-) Vanilla cake w/ CBC icing. Not happy w/ the border but got no direction other than colorful and festive. They were happy with it and I guess that's what counts. TFL

This is the third cake I've ever made. The mother brought the 2 toy cars and asked me to put them on the cake, but she left the rest to my creativity. She was very pleased with the final results, and the b-day boy loved it!
