This was for my M-I-L's birthday. It is a chocolate chip cake with cookie dough filling (thanks to ziert003). It has vanilla buttercream with fondant accents.

I made this for my cousin who was turning 2! I am VERY new at this (I learned picked it up this summer after watching too many Ace of Cake episodes during summer break from college.. ) and am addicted! This was my first time doing figurines, and I have so much still to learn.

THank you CC members for your inspiration

I wanted to try a red velvet cake and this new cream cheese frosting so I made this simple cake for my mother-in-law's birthday. I decorated it warm and it was delicious :) My first time making those roses...

I had made a huge "18"in orange fondant but could not put it on top for the foto, since it was for a client, and it still had to be transported. Try picturing it though
The cake is in different flavours each layer. Covered in fondant.

Pinata cake: ) inspiration from Bellawest (flickr). I will post a thread soon with directions:) WBC
Legs are dowels surrounded with RKT. Head styrafoam because I only needed 50 servings:) Used tip #47 (wilton) which is a small basket weave tip. This cake traveled 80 miles with no problem! Stick is left over dowel covered with BC.

PM me for picture tutorial... the one in the forums doesn't have photos anymore for some reason!

It was the Kindergarten Helpers birthday and the children just learned about trees, leaves and tree roots in class and so I decided to make that for "her" birthday (Maple & Oak) and she and the children enjoyed it. :) I used NFSC for cookie & Antonia's Royal icing from this site. Delish as usual!

This was my first tiered cake, as well as first fondant cake. I look at it now and would do so many things differently, but I love it none the less.

This was just some left over cake from another cake order I did. Used up the 10" and 8" layers of cake along with whatever colors I had left to use up. My kids thought it was great to have a "Just becuz cake" LOL Just thought I would post it to give someone some ideas to come up with something interesting. Nothing too creative here, just having fun cake.

This was for a mardi gras themed wedding. The 3-tier cake on top was handpainted fondant designs. The rest of the set-up included royal icing "masks" and accessories.

This was all for a halloween wedding a few years ago. The colors were bright and fun and I was pretty much given free reign with the design. It was a buttercream on buttercream cake.

This one was done for a small cake competition at our local Michael's. It took 2nd place in my category. there was a very serious thing that happened within my family and I did'nt have any time to finish the cake at all. All of the painting was done by hand with no templates. The birdcage on top was done freehand with royal icing. Thanks for looking.

8 inch double chocolate layer cake, and 6 inch lemon cake with lemon curd. I got this order off my last cake I did for my mom's 50th Birthday Party. It's my second PURCHASED cake so I am ecstatic! The entire thing is coated in butter cream (I've been doing thicker than a crumb coat since I can't seem to carve straight edges!), then covered in fondant with fondant and gumpaste accents.

I made this cake just for the heck of it... I don't really know why I made the island but I thought it would be cute.
Decorated with fondant, buttercream icing and sugarpaste palm trees with fondant leaves.

This was my first time trying a 2-tiered cake and trying to get crazy with the colors and patterns. I think it turned out ok, but next time could be better... Decorated mainly with fondant, some buttercream.
