I made the red-eyed tree frog using royal icing run-out. Then I put him on a cake and filled it in with BC leaves. My husband loves frogs, so this was his birthday cake.

This was a cake I made upon my little's sister's request for a bright colored girly cake. It was a chocolate cake with chocolate filling. It was my first attempt at a two-level cake. I fnished it off with sparkles. As you might be able to tell I got carried away with decorating it, hince the name "overdose"

Chocolate cake with Nutella Mousse filling, I thought there was too much white, so i did some spatual stripping for the rope border. Was hoping to match the blue to the color flow birds, but i think i used a bit too much color.

The decorations are all chocolate transfer - I love this technique!! The iciing is Buttercream - sprayed with color mist. This is the first time I have done that and I really like the result - except if you nick the icing after it is sprayed, forget trying to patch it! This is a strawberry cake with white chocolate mousse filling. Thanks for looking!!

This is a chocolate cake covered in cherry buttercream and then decorated with fondant. The bottom cake is circle and the top is an oval. Tinkerbell is done with Royal Icing in Wilton's "color flow" method. Everything but the candles were edible and the 4 year olds LOVED it!

this cake was prepared for a Librarian who loves the Cicero quote: "if you have a library and a garden you have everything you need". The typos are intentional and are due to an inner family joke. The library is color-flow, the flowers are royal icing and the cake is coated in cappuchino buttercream.

This cake was done as a dummy cake...only to be looked upon by the party goers! It was a definite challenge, but very rewarding in the end.

This piece will be in an Art Show called "Art for Other Senses." May 3-24, 2007. It is a yellow cake with fondant, royal icing and gumpaste accents, bubbles and washcloth. The Ivory soap box was based on an antique design. It has color flow tile and logo. Thank you for looking. I have placed a quarter on the lower lefthand size for scale.

Ariel's face and upper body and Flounder are both done in color flow. This was my first time doing color flow. It certainly is time consuming! The sea shells are white chocolate. Play jewelry was also used as treasures in the sea. Thanks for looking!

Reposting as the comment field was not working when originally posted. All Comments Welcome. My sister and I made these cakes this past weekend for our friends Bridal Shower. They were a hit. Everyone loved them, incuding the bride to be. The Bridesmaid dresses are almost the exact color of our dresses. We took the idea of "Court of Many Colors" from the Wilton Cake Decorating Yearbook. The Bride and Bridesmaids are made with marshmallow fondant and the square cake is buttercream.

I made this cake for my co-worker's daughter. I was inspired by a cake
from sjlarby. The top is a 3 layer 4 inch yellow cake with raspberry
filling. The bottom is a 2 layer 6 inch chocolate cake with raspberry
filling. The shapes and bow are made from fondant, all buttercream
icing. This really has to be one of my favorites thus far!

I _LOVED_ making this cake! The basketweave gave me some trouble, but at least I wasn't alone-- everyone in my class experienced the same issues, we all really spaced out our basketweave! ;-) This was butter cake with key lime curd filling.
